How To Use Your Leftover Food

avatar

Hello Foodies!

I'm sure all of us come across days when the food we cook is not completely consumed or we just don't feel like eating all of it. Does that mean we throw it away? NO NEVER! Food wastage is the worst of all crimes a normal man can make. What we waste can become 2 times meal of those who can't even afford food to eat.

But not always the circumstances allow us to give the food away. Especially this Corona time when people aren't stepping out of their doors. We can use leftover food to make different dishes which can be exciting to eat. Last night I prepared Chana dal and didn't feel like eating it. A lot of it was left. Let me show you how I consumed it for my morning breakfast.

This was the leftover dal.

Spread dal on one bread slice and mint chutney on the other.

Add oregano and chilly flakes to one slice.

Place the slices together, one on top of the other.

Grill them and serve with tomato ketchup.

Even my cat loves them.

So no more food wastage. You can use any kind of left over food to make grilled sandwiches with a little mix n match technique.

Wow. Great trick to reuse the leftovers food. We have pets so sometimes whenever food is left We used to give to them .

I also have a cat but she eats only boiled chicken and boiled eggs. So we can't give her.

It's ok as long as she is keeping fine. Mine would not even touch vegetarian food, such a bad ass she is.

ABout Corns, you can roast a little bit garlic in butter, add oregano, chilli flakes and corn and eat them, they are super yummy :D

Now this is Indian soulfood. I love turning a small amount of leftovers into something enough to feed a family. This is a great idea! I've eaten toasted bread with leftover dal , but never though to go ahead make the next logical step, that being a sandwich. Bravo on the creativity chef! !LUV
