Hello Mommies!

This one is gonna be a really funny post. I'm sharing my recent experience of my delivery day. Every time I and my husband think of it, we just have a good laugh thinking of what happened. It's kind of embarrassing for me too but I'm sure mommies can understand the labour pain and will have empathy for me here 😄

Ok so for me, it was a planned c-sec due to placenta previa condition. One week prior to my adviced c-sec date, I was chilling on my balcony, talking to my mom and having tea when suddenly I started feeling some contractions. I ignored them completely thinking I can't get contractions because I have to go for a c-sec. But my mom told me that I was in labour (Lol, I didn't even realize).

So here comes the first reaction of my husband - I tried waking him up and he would just not wake up and tell me he wants to sleep and I can go to the hospital alone. Obviously, he didn't mean, he was talking while he was still sleeping but I felt like killing him then. And then I shouted "Damn you! I'm in labour, get your stupid ass off the bed and drive me to the hospital." He woke up completely scandalised, scared as F*** and changed within the next 2 minutes. We left.

Since it was a c-sec, the nurse was preparing me and my husband was with me. I was crying in pain, it was really bad I remember. He was telling me to calm down and I was like "You are mad, you don't even know what I'm going through." I was literally shouting at him in the labour room and he was constantly holding my hand, not saying back a word.

Then he told me "In a few minutes we will have our baby in our hand, just think of that moment and feel happy." And I told him, actually screamed, "To hell with you and your baby." I know I was really getting rude to him but I could not control it. The pain was that bad.

But all this time, he was so calm and polite and loving and caring and whatnot, he just silently listened to all my non-sense shit in front of the staff but didn't say a word.

Finally, when the doctor came to take me to the operation theatre where he was not allowed, he held my hand to say "Baby, don't worry. I'm just sitting outside and you will be all fine." To which I replied, "Don't you ever ask me to have a baby again." Haha.. And my doctor actually came out a minute later to comfort my husband.

It was a very strange time, normally had I spoken to my husband like that, he would shout back at me like crazy but that one day I was excused, and with a lot of love, all the bad words. He was so kind and gentle (and I'm sure all the husbands are at the point) that he made me fall in love with him even more. 😻
