maturity is not about age

(Edited)

being an adult doesn't implement a mature self. aging is not a predominant factor to maturity.

some people attain maturity at an early age or even faster while others struggle with it due to lack of knowledge and perception and old behavioral habits that sabotages maturity.

mental growth and mental maturity are radically different.

a mature person often turns to use of reason and common sense in his relationships with other people.

a mature person is easily recognisable from his behavior as the following :

  • he is always realistic and trust only in facts

  • he takes full charge of him self and his actions

  • his analytics are so high and question everything to make sense of it.

  • brains rather than emotions :
the only thing than can determine righteousness and falsehood is his own perception.

  • assertiveness and abundance:
it means no turning back after the decision making and really have a rich and busy life going on.

  • open minded and skillful:
he's always open for new ideas and perspectives without being judgmental or lame.

  • curious and hungry for knowledge

  • he doesn't identify with mental conditioning:
not clinging to one's own opinions by setting boundaries to his thoughts

  • grounded and realistic

  • knows the limits:
either his own or to others as his mindset could accept limitations.

  • intelligence in his own life :
the life of a mature person is always associated with the intelligence on the lead.

  • personal experience

  • spontaneous:
it might be confused with lack of thought but in the contrary a spontaneous person has a certain charm and individuality.

as you can see that the behavioral aspect of mental maturity is unique and even associated with karizma and success.

thus, developing mental maturity is really important to reach one's goals.

it can only do, but to achieve potential growth in every intake.

Very true and time is a man-made construct after all. Just as our body matures at different rates, so do our minds. I read a study that our minds only fully mature by the time we're 26. And that's the average :)

There are some people who are old but they do not behave in a matured way, truly age is not maturity...a 22years old person can be more matured than a 50years old and vice-versa..so it is not all about the age..@racemlaadhar
