Eric Kandel, an America Neuropsychiatrist and Nobel Prize Scientist studied how memory works and how memory is stored in neurons using a sea slug (Aplysia Carlifonica), a replica of a snail in carrying out his observation and experiment.

Like other invertebrates, snails neither have spinal cords or brains. They rather have a ser ganglia or a group of neurons that distributes the control of the body of the snail.

Having studied how snails behave in their immediate environment, one could quickly understand their little sense of direction. At other times, snails could put up behavior that they understand their environment more than you can ever imagine. This observation indicated that pineapple peels via the sweet-smelling savor can attract the audience of snails from kilometers away yet without brains or sense of smell, only neurons connected the different parts of the body. Snails are a very small unit of animals that learn quickly following this observation.

Do Snails Have Eyes?
Looking closely at a snail. You will find two tentacles. At the tip. of each tentacle is an eye. Tiny eye. That eye can be detected with the aid of a microscope. Snails have very poor eyes sight or vision. The eyes have no muscles to help them focus on images. The more reason you'd see snails climbing places where they can be easily picked or preyed on. Snails cannot see colors but can see light and figure out the real source of light. They can also understand the presence of darkness.

Are Snails Born With Shells?

Baby snails are called snails and they are hatched with rudimentary shells. The shell forms into a hard shell over time that acts as protection for the growing snail. Some species of snail develop their shells in a process of metamorphosis called gerontic growth.

During the dry season, snails cannot retract into their shells if they are not wet. For those who breed snails, water is an essential part of the diet that makes snails grow rapidly.
If you must know, snails are a very economical investment. The recommendation for snails to survive in homemade farms is assuring. They eat the cheapest food. Soft or leguminous leaves and other green life will make a lot of food for snails. Pawpaw or palate and pineapple are one of the best foods for snails.

In drier times, snails hide among rocks and cover with epiphragm which allows for easy passage of oxygen but reduces loss of moisture.

Snails are a very good source of protein. Some people go for snails as much periwinkle because they do not carry red blood cells. Red meat through research by nutritionists and medical scientists could be harmful.to the human health because of high-level cholesterol.

Big food place would rather mollusk than red meat.
