Building My Self Confidence

Greetings to you Hivers!
It's another day to be grateful for and I'm so happy today because I am going according the plans I've set for myself even when I thought I wouldn't be able to.

While I was going about my morning chores, I was reminded of something "My Weakness" and that is Lack of Self Confidence. I wouldn't want to start writing about what reminded me of that, the main thing is that yeah, I am a lady with little or no confidence in myself.

I get nervous in front of new faces or a crowd especially when I'm asked to do something in front of them.
And guess what! In a few days time, I will have to make a speech about a project in front of my mates at school. Even the thought of it gives me chills but I can't avoid it when that day finally comes.

Well, my reason for writing this is because of a Nigerian movie I watched. The movie titled "The Wig" is about a lady who had no confidence in herself but was an intern to a full confidence Lawyer. She later gained confidence after wearing a wrong wig she bought from a hair shop. When she realized that, she always go on court cases with the wig and she became a bold and fearless lady.

She was heartbroken when she got separated from the wig by her hairstylist who only wanted to maintain the wig beauty for her. She had a case to defend but was unstable because she wasn't with the wig, her nervousness came back and she thought she had lost the case since she won't be able to speak well out of lack of confidence.
Just when she was about giving up on taking the case, her hairstylist brought the wig to her and she wore it with all confidence, did her defence excellently and won the case.

Only for her hairstylist to tell her that "The wig was a look alike to the one she gave to her" The intern lawyer realized that she had the confidence in her all along but was too scared to do anything.

After watching this movie, I realized and asked myself "What exactly am I scared of?" Having self confidence is very important in making people respect and honor you. It also gives you courage to oppressors. People with little confidence are mostly bullied or harassed, so being confident is very important.
Well, I plan to face my fears, build my confidence and of course make my project speech excellent with or without a confidence wig.
