avatar

When the Homowo festival gets into full swing in Osu, which is one of the major Ga communities in the capital of Accra, Ghana there are 4 weeks of festivities.

Each week one of the 4 clans signified by their color takes to the streets in a grand dubar and procession. The clan chiefs parade themselves through the streets with their clan asafo company. Asafo company is the military part of the clan.

They go around the community to each of the major clan houses. And then a small Parade grounds where they fire off small cannons and reenact battles and wars of old in traditional pageantry.

The fetish priest for the area.

@leifasaur. I admire your tenacity. You're new here, I get it. Your content is impressive enough I enjoy promoting your work and helping you. On that note, however, mass releases are never a good idea. It can be considered spam in virtually no time at all. I know you mean well. 'Patience.'

Authors who release fresh content every 20-24 hours are ambitious.

Yes it is quite the harvest festival. Granted it is not every day, but a good 4 days of the week and deep into the night can be very wild.
