TICK TOCK; How many of it do you need to be satisfied?

Time time time... Even if we get 30 hours a day, will it be enough? Tsk tsk!

And so it begins with the usual tick-tock. This sound makes everyone's heart skip a beat whenever they think of things that need to be squeezed into 24 hours.

The chores that need to be done, money that need to be made, networking that needs to be done and so on. Sadly, nobody gets extra time for anything so everything you do including resting and dancing at a birthday party all need to be perfectly fitted into your 24 hours and well accounted for.

But then, how many people can get it all done within that stipulated time?

Hearing complaints from people about time is no longer a new thing. Almost everyone seems to have one more thing that needs to be done and they can't get their mind off it. We end up focusing more on what we couldn't achieve than what we managed to get done per day. And then, a new day comes with a new cycle.

All thanks to motivational speakers, a whole lot of people now use most of their time to do trial and error of all varieties of time management techniques. They set a reminder, prepare a to-do list and listen to time management podcasts, but the same time scarcity issue persists.

Some end up complaining about never having enough time to do the simplest things on their to-do list. No time to read, no time to rest, no time to prepare a proper meal, no time to do anything. This makes you wonder what they do with their 24 hours. Perhaps, they just wake up and admire their wristwatch from morning till night - No offence meant!

Does it occur to you that some people achieve their daily targets despite having the same 24 hours?

I won't say that I'm free from this tantrum. I often sacrifice my sleep time by cutting it short to the barest minimum yet, I hardly boast of having enough time each day. Of course, that's because l have nothing to boast about. At this rate, l would need to play the role of Oliver Twist and ask for more time from my maker. It's worth giving a second thought, eh?

So, l was so busy this morning to the extent that l lost track of time. It took a push from a special someone for me to move my lazy ass into the kitchen and prepare 2 sachets of noodles for breakfast at a time that it was already too late for breakfast and too early for lunch.

Aside from the fact that l often get busy with a whole lot of things, l must say that l don't beat me up for not getting anything done. I kinda have an unwritten to-do list that l follow every day of my life and l try to get the most basic of these done.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop Or Comma

I think a lot of people have realised the importance of time management and many people do it but the most important aspect is sticking to that plan

It is a bit difficult but if you can little by little adapting to the schedule that you plan for each activity, some are frequent others are not, but we do not have to be so hard on ourselves when we do not achieve the goals set in a certain time
