A Writer's Incertitude. (An Original Poetry)

A little bit of laughter,
spattered with mourning.
like a fable
doused with comic relief.
characters scattered,
as ants in disarray
fate; the beginning
of unknown things
like a story written
with a tint of uncertainty.

You're a writer,
of circumstance
born and breed,
beaten and battered.
bereft of featherings
to rewrite your destiny.
like ants at the mercy
of the hawk,
your fate is written
unclear as cuneiform

A little bit of laughter,
for the end of the road
might be filled with grieving
today is clear,
your life is thrown
into the air,
as a game of dice
as a coin, you're tossed
tail or head.
the end of the tunnel
smokes as a chimney
making tomorrow almost impossible.

As beautiful as you are
stunning as a peach,
and rippening in the morn.
You're a memory,
to little babes
for just a hundred years
and you're only a writing
on an epitaph
stained with rotting leaves.

You're a sculptor,
born of serendipity.
your life is a bough.
waiting to be chiselled
by your very self.
Your tale
is like a log of wood
beaten by the rain
and plundered by the sun

Live this life
to the fullest
for it's feels
like a twinkle of an eye.
from the state of being young
to utter senility.
It melts away
in a rush
like a spark of fireworks
in the middle of the night.

Hahaha, again, thanks for the amazing comment always. that's quite the rhyme there, yourself. I started out writing poems though, it's where I originally majored in but then I diversified my contents, into what I have and can do today.

Thanks a million, it's always good to get your feedbacks. The chain has been glitchy for like 24 hours, it's why I haven't really been active today that much.

Absolutely fantastic! Knocked this one out the park mate. It is because of our vulnerability and not knowing what our future holds, nor having the ability to control the ultimate cycle of life and death, that we should live for today and carve out a life for ourselves that we can be proud of and enjoy to it's fullest. The old adage that nothing is certain except death and taxes comes to mind. I caught a tinge of sadness and hopelessness there too in the futility of non even having the feathers (presume old school writing instrument analogy) to write or rewrite one's destiny, but then you lend some hope through to the end of the poem. I really do love it. Well done!

Yeah, I sort of left a sombre reflections on this one and I believe to an extent we have control Over our lives even when it seems that we don't, however I painted an exact opposite of this by expressing hopelessness and of course futility. This was as a result of my mood when I was writing the poem, I meant for it to have a positive notes at the end of the day. But one thing I realize is that being a writer sometimes can be influenced by one's emotions irrespective of the intentions that you actually started out with

Agreed life is short, there is a mix of everything, making it interesting, colorful ,exciting too at times. It's not just black and white.. there is more to life than what meets the eye.
It could be like the spark of fireworks at night, but I'd see it as the exciting sparkle that people line up to to see, the moment of magic that people loe to capture with their eyes, their hearts and cameras too.

You're a sculptor,
born of serendipity.
waiting to be chiselled
by your very self.

Yip that's right you are the master sculptor of your life, you have the power to make it beautiful or battered.
There is a kind is underlying sadness to this poem.

Thank you for carefully interpreting this poem I didn't know if it would be easy to do so and that was why I actually resorted to using simple expressions that can be easy to read.
You're particularly right when you say that there's an underlying expression of sadness in this poem. This was of course influenced by my mood and I actually didn't know that it would reflect and become so vivid. One's reflection towards life can be particularly sombre and in this situation, I felt is certain form of powerlessness even if I felt that our future and our lives is in our hands

Powerless was the word I wanted to use, but it sounded so negative and final. I have a question for you.. why would you feel that way as a writer.. you create everyday, you should sound more hopeful and happy.

Powerlessness, yeah that was the feeling I wanted to evoke. The truth is, irrespective of the fact that Happiness is a state, sadness is also a state we shouldn't Ignore because it's a human feeling. Naturally I like evoking these feelings when writing, thats the Kind of writer I am.
