Hello friends of hive. It's good to be back on the hive platform.. today I shall be talking about the working abilities of the brain. The brain is surrounded by a layer of tissue called the meninges. The skull (cranium) helps protect the brain from injury and some things associated with the brain.
The human brain is one of the widest, biggest and most complex organs in the human body. It comprises of more than 100 billion nerves endings that communicates together in trillions of connections in the body called The SYNAPSES.
It is surrounded by a layer of tissue called the MENINGES while the skull also called the CRANIUM also helps in the protection of the brain from unforseen injury that might occur. The skull is a hard like structure in form of a bone in the human head..
The brain is divided into series of segments called the lobes which are;
1• The frontal lobes which are responsible for solving any form of problems and also responsible for making judgement.
2• The parietal lobes which manage any form of sensation,feelings, handwriting, and body positioning.
3• The temporal lobes which are responsible for sharing memories and hearing of words spoken..
4• The occipital lobes which are responsible for the brain's visual processing system which is the sight and any kind of views..
The cortex is the outer layer of brain. This is the place where all the thinking and voluntary actions starts..
The brain stem is found in between the spinal cord and the brain. This controls the breathing abilities and sleeping abilities.
The basal ganglia is a contraction of structures in the middle of the brain. This organs is responsible for controlling the messages sent to the brain.
The cerebellum is at the base and the back of the brain. The cerebellum is responsible for controlling the body and the balancing..
The brain works a thousand times faster than a speed of light because of the ability of it to accumulate and grab things.
The main function of the brain is that;
- It controls the main operations in the body like the thoughts, the memory, the speech, movement of the arms and legs, reflex action and many more and also the function of many organs in the body. The central nervous system (CNS) is composed of the brain and spinal cord..
Here is my entry for today. It shall be continued in the next post. Thanks for reading.
