How many good memories on this beach

This morning the alarm went off earlier than expected, my son a little over one year of age decided that getting out of bed at six in the morning is good and right. So, after having breakfast and playing with his games for a while, we decided to take advantage of the beautiful sunny day for a long walk.

Living in a city overlooking the sea, my first thought is to show my son how wonderful it is to look at him and touch him or even just breathe in the scent of the salt. A purely tourist city, the bathing establishments are starting to prepare for the beautiful summer season, hoping that the pandemic will not be the cause of other lockdowns or excessive restrictions and that it will allow tourists to come back and enjoy the warm and quiet days at sea.

In the early morning everything is so quiet and calm, even the sea seems to be at peace with itself and transmits this feeling of serenity to anyone who stops to look at it. On this beach, when I was a kid, I spent most of my summer days with my friends. Hours and hours in the water, burned by the hot sun, until the fingers of our hands looked like those of an elderly man over a hundred years old.

Ah, what an unforgettable good time. The landscape has changed a bit: twenty years ago there was no wooden structure and there was no bathing beach. From the early hours of the day above all the elderly began to occupy a bit 'all the beach with their umbrellas and usually we kids had to carve out a space here and there to put our clothes.

Now everything is privatized, every space is sold but you can't buy the sea, hilarious is free from any restriction or constraint but is subject to our attitudes towards it. The pollution of its waters is an increasingly widespread phenomenon and often those who pollute are the same ones who then spend their holidays by the sea ... Absurdity!

We respect the sea because nature is a resource for us and not a large trash can.
