Hola mi gente, para todos los que somos de los años noventa, recordamos estas películas de terror que en su momentos nos aterraron pero hoy en día en base a que su formula esta descontinuada, nos dan mas risa que miedo, y esto es algo normalmente las películas igual que nosotros, nos vamos adaptando a las nuevas producciones y si bien es cierto que las películas actuales de terror se pueden considerar en decadencia, resaltando muy pocos filmes, si hay mucha joyas, una de ellas a mi parecer es el conjuro, una obra cinematográfica que puede congelarte del miedo, pero entonces tenemos esta película The Unholy, con una premisa bastante interesante, que pasaría si un demonio o espíritu maligno se hiciera pasar por santo y estuviera cumpliendo milagros, la verdad es que la propuesta se escucha prometedora, y es entretenida, pero la película tiene bastantes defectos, si cumple con divertir por así decirlo, pero en ningún momento sentirás miedo realmente.

Hello my people, for all of us who are from the nineties, we remember these horror movies that at the time terrified us but today based on the fact that its formula is discontinued, they give us more laughter than fear, and this is something usually movies like us, we are adapting to new productions and while it is true that current horror films can be considered in decline, highlighting very few films, if there are many jewels, one of them in my opinion is the spell, a cinematographic work that can freeze you with fear, but then we have this film The Unholy, with a very interesting premise, what would happen if a demon or evil spirit would pretend to be a saint and was performing miracles, the truth is that the proposal sounds promising, and is entertaining, but the film has many flaws, if it meets to amuse so to speak, but at no time will you really feel fear.

Todo comienza con un periodista que ha perdido todo su prestigio, por cual de que fabrica noticias para ser mas exitoso, esto hace que trabaje para un periódico que habla de noticias paranormales, de aquí todo bien, pero ya nada mas al comenzar, podemos ver que la película tiene una fotografía muy meh, que no es ni mala ni buena, y utilizan un recurso muy extraño que es desenfocar todo menos un punto en concreto, haciendo que el espectador sea considerado un estúpido, como que tienen que resaltar este punto para que te des cuenta de lo que pasa, y si los efectos especiales son tan viejos que parecen sacados de una playstation 2, las actuaciones tienen mucho carisma eso si, creo que es el pilar fundamental de la película, te la quedas viendo, por que te gustan los personajes, tienen historias y desarrollos interesantes, la película costo 10 millones de dólares esto se considera en la industria de bajo presupuesto, pero el problema es que para ahorrar hubieran mejor utilizado efectos prácticos, con esto hubieran podido conseguir que la película fuera mas aterradora, y es que todo el estilo de la película respira el estilo noventero y mas que darte nostalgia puede llegar a tornarse pesado.

It all starts with a journalist who has lost all his prestige, because he makes news to be more successful, this makes him work for a newspaper that talks about paranormal news, from here everything is fine, but just at the beginning, we can see that the film has a very meh photography, which is neither bad nor good, and they use a very strange resource that is to blur everything but a particular point, making the viewer is considered a stupid, as they have to highlight this point to make you realize what happens, and if the special effects are so old that seem taken from a playstation 2, the performances have a lot of charisma, I think it is the main pillar of the film, you keep watching it, because you like the characters, they have interesting stories and developments, the film cost 10 million dollars this is considered in the low budget industry, but the problem is that to save money they would have better used practical effects, with this they could have made the film more terrifying, and the whole style of the film breathes the nineties style and more than giving you nostalgia can become heavy.

No mal entiendan, no quiero decir que no vean esta película, de hecho si, disfrútenla, es una película que entretiene de principio a fin, solo que no se esperen una película super aterradora, y tampoco analicen mucho el guion, pero que terminaran decepcionados, yo la veo mas como una película para ir a pasar el rato al cine, pero un punto fuerte es los sonidos y la música, las cuales son inmersivas y si llegan a sernos sentir que estamos adentro del filme, es una película que yo la calificaría que es meh, ni mala ni buena, pero creo que el problema mío al verla, fue que le tenia altas expectativas y no cumplió con mucho de lo que esperaba.

Don't misunderstand, I don't want to say don't watch this movie, in fact yes, enjoy it, it's a movie that entertains from beginning to end, just don't expect a super scary movie, and don't analyze the script too much, but you will end up disappointed, I see it more as a movie to go to hang out at the cinema, but a strong point is the sounds and music, which are immersive and if we get to feel that we are inside the film, it is a movie that I would qualify that is meh, neither bad nor good, but I think the problem with me to see it, was that I had high expectations and did not meet much of what I expected.
