Making a small effort

Yesterday, I checked a place behind a football ground near to my home. I found a horrible scene.

Someone removed all the bark from the tree. I'm not sure but the tree is now going to die slowly. 😢In addition to that, they left a huge pile of trash.
Today, I planned to ride with my bike to the usual trash site and football area. So first I rode to the football place and cleaned that area out!

After cleaned it out, I went to the usual trash site for loot. But there wasn't so much today. 2 bottles and 1 can. Maybe the people trashing that place are finally aware what they are doing and litter less trash there. (Please)

Regarding the tree, I'm not sure what to do. Is there a way to help the tree to survive without bark?
Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a nice sunny Saturday and wonderful weekend. Keep picking up!!!

Why would someone remove the bark? Is it needed for something?

Damn...that is so stupid. I cannot understand people who have no respect for nature.

Can tell what kind of looser was there, the garage reminds me of the kids I wouldn't hang out with in high school.

So cool smoking cigarettes and brandish a little knife daddy gave them lol

People that treat nature that way need to have something bad happen to them. Thank you for cleaning up after them.

Nice work you did. Regarding the tree, nature has its way sometimes of doing its healing, it might be gentle on the tree and it would survive. Best wishes.

Thank you. I hope the tree can recover. I checked youtube for some wisdom. Some people put moss around the tree but I can imagine people will remove that as well.

Maybe with a bit of luck the tree will recover. It definitely is trying.

It's impossible to understand people who do stuff like that. I wouldn't even want to try . Great job cleaning up. Thanks for sharing your day.

Just planting an idea in your head that will make you famous: Collect a heap of trash like that (when you come across something like that again), but do it like scientists do, complete with gloves and forensic bags used for gathering evidence. Take it home, start a crowdfunding campaign to pay for lab costs, then send the trash to a lab for fingerprints, DNA on there, etc. Basically, hunt down environmental killers while blogging or vlogging about it. Play sleuth, find the dumpsters. Such a mission will go viral, get you onto the news, and get those trashers caught, as a warning to others. It will send a message that ordinary people care for our planet, and won't wait for the cops to catch such criminals any longer.

I have to give that a thought. But your basically right! That could be a great hobby.

and won't wait for the cops to catch such criminals any longer.
My city has a feature in its smartphone for report things like that. But I know places which are worse than this and reported them, nothing happened so far. I think they implemented it like this:

The police rarely really put in effort to catch 'small' criminals. Yet, it's those small crimes that people get away with, that lead them to believe bigger crimes are okay too. When citizens themselves tackle such small criminals, it is a better deterrent than when the police hunt them down. I'm grateful for the efforts you took, and by blogging about it, it shows them thrashers there are people noticing their piggy behavior.

This is an awesome concept ... Just keeps me wondering what someone like me in Africa could do about these kinds of things in Africa

Thank you for being a better human by cleaning other people's trash. I did a quick google search to see if the tree can be saved. From what I have read, the tree has suffered way too much damage and will likely die. If it was a small section, there may have been a hope to place the bark back after cleaning the area, but sadly this isn't the case. If this is a protected areas, maybe contact those in charge of it and let them know about the vandalism. This shouldn't be allowed to continue.

In addition to that, they left a huge pile of trash.

Many people do that in various places. Often even when the trash can is literally a few steps away. I regularly see this in the city, where I work.
