Let's talk a little about music Pt. 3

Here are some other ways we use music in our lives:

Music is useful for training our brains and helping us overcome anxiety, stress, and depression.

Music is comforting and helps us sleep. We often use music to help us sleep at night.

Music can be a soothing influence. Can help us escape from reality.

Music creates and invigorates our sense of wonder. Is something we need at all times because it makes us feel alive.

Music can make us feel alive and positive. Music gives us that sense of peace in our life.

Some ways to use music in our lives are:

When we are feeling sad, nervous, sad for reasons other than ourselves we would like a relaxing, calming song to listen to.

When we want to relax, we are seeking for something soothing in a dark environment.

Music can help to relax us, to get rid of anxiety, pain, or worries. Music is our most powerful tool for this.

Music can increase our mood and energy.

Music has the power to fill the voids when the rest of the world is silent.

Music is awesome in terms of helping us relax and take a deep breath and to help us wake up.

Of course many have mentioned the art of musical meditation. There are many great musicians who are masters at this but at the end of the day it's all about the right music and you really need to spend some time understanding the context of that music.

That's one of the reasons why I chose to write this piece on how to use music as a tool. Music is great for many purposes and most people are happy going about their daily lives having music playing, or not at all.

There is really no hard and fast rule about what music to use but the best rule I've come up with is this:

Use the right music at the right time:

When you get bored of something, stop it. The best music is a happy music and the best music makes us feel like we are having a good time. Use it as a way to bring you out of your funk.

Try to avoid using music when you already feel like you are getting the most out of it. You'll probably want it when you are stressed.

I've made a list of some common use cases for music and I think that most people can find a use case for something in there.

Music for working out

I have found that most of the music I like for working out is upbeat. As well as being upbeat, it helps soothe stress and makes me feel like I'm at the gym and not at home with a cup of tea. It also makes me feel like I'm doing something that's important to us as people.

Music for learning

I also find that learning music is extremely useful. Just getting the basics is enough to take us on many different journeys and enrich our lives. In fact, it can even be so useful that you get so wrapped up in the concept behind music that you forget to focus on what you're doing.

Music for self-improvement

I don't think I need my own personal playlist to know what is a great song to listen to on the shower break. I also know what is a great song to listen to when I'm working to help me get out the door and get to work on time.

Music that can help you concentrate

The music I like for concentrating is mostly instrumental or acoustic. For a start, it gives me a feeling of being immersed in a song which is a cool and awesome feeling.

But what it also brings out in me is a sense of relaxation and peace. We all need that sometimes so it's nice.

You talk a lot about music, but hardly share the music you like :)
Can you give me some tracks/songs? Am interested :)

ps Why posting in the GEMS community and not in one of the Music communities? The later will get you more engagement, while the GEMS whales will also vote for posts outside GEMS community.

What's up, bro? thank you for commenting on the publications I make in this style.

I'm sure I got the wrong community when I posted... with what you're asking, I think I was told that if something was copyrighted it could be a problem.

I think naming them is not a big deal, but it would be great to be able to place a video or something like that. I'll do some research on the rules.

Thank you for commenting again. Greetings edje!.

When linking in a YT, Vimeo or Soundcloud link, I think it should not be a problem. I usually add an extra line of tex below the share media from said platforms with a link to the media at original platform. Though this is already handled by the media platfoirm themselves, inbuild into the audio or video controls, but do this as an extra to comply to laws of some countries.
