Los Cañoneros, Valentiner & New Orleans #tbt [English - Español]

In 1986 I had the pleasure to travel to New Orleans, invited by my great friend Guillermo Valentiner, of whom I have already spoken in advance, since his support was fundamental for the growth of my group, Los Cañoneros.

En 1986 tuve el gusto de viajar a Nueva Orleans, invitado por el gran amigo Guillermo Valentiner, de quien ya he hablado con antelación, pues su apoyo fue fundamental para el crecimiento de mi grupo, Los Cañoneros.

That trip was also with the group and although we went to play at an event in that city, the activities organized by Valentiner always included many more activities. And of course, as a lover of parties and joy, I couldn't miss a walk along Bourbon Street, in that city's famous French Quarter. This walk included drinking the famous "Hurricans," a sweet and explosive alcoholic drink, listening to jazz and celebrating until dawn.

Ese viaje también fue con el grupo y aunque fuimos a tocar en un evento en esa ciudad, las actividades organizadas por Valentiner siempre incluían muchas más actividades. Y por supuesto, como amante que era de las fiestas y la alegría, no podía falta un paseo por Bourbon Street, en el famoso Barrio Francés de esa ciudad. Dicho paseo incluía beber los archiconocidos "Hurricans", bebida alcóholica dulce y explosiva, escuchar jazz y celebrar hasta el amanecer.

Although we went to several night clubs, where we spent most of the time and took advantage of it to take pictures and talk with the musicians and even with a dancer from tap who was doing his show above the bar, it was a place where they played Dixieland, the type of group that gave birth to jazz, based on music like Ragtime and Blues.

Aunque recorrimos varios night clubs, donde pasamos la mayor parte del tiempo y aprovechamos para tomar y fotos y conversar con los músicos y hasta con un bailarín de tap que hacía su show encima de la barra del bar, fue un sitio en el que tocaban Dixieland, el tipo de agrupación que dio nacimiento al jazz, partiendo de música como el Ragtime y el Blues.

This #tbt is practically a first, because I had only published in the social networks one of those photos, since the others were in a file that I had never processed.
