LONGING TO BLOOM: New song and video. Blessed Ostara! Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere
Here is my new song and video "Longing to Bloom" to welcome Spring (I know you're welcoming Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere) but the song transcends the seasons to be a metaphor of renewal and growth. It's time to "leave our dim thoughts and fears behind and thrive against all odds", Spring has awakened with a promise.

Some weeks ago I shared my song Cold Winter, and explained cold is needed to make seeds grow but now it's time to unfold into the light. But the landscape has transformed drastically in the matter of one month... this is a time of changes.

I'm doing an entire collection of compositions all through "The Wheel of the year". The night from 20 to 21th of March is Ostara (Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere) and thus the blooming season officially beings.

Ostara is a Pagan celebration of the the Spring Equinnox in the Northern Hemisphere. It is named after a Germanic Goddess of Spring and fertility The name means “to shine”. In the Equinox the length of the Day and Night is the same, the forces of Light and Darkness in balance, and now on days will be longer and brighter until next Solstice. A promise of life… as birds unfold their wings

Longing to bloom... unfolding into the sun...
I woke to a wintry day and all was covered in snow but frail pale white and pink blossoms are facing the cold weather and buds are unfolding. Aren't we longing to bloom?
It is time to trigger the changes that will allow to move forward, bloom and grow.
Days are longer, life stirs, and the air is full of the fragrance of emerging flowers.
Though the dormant Goddess of Spring is supposed to start to stir at Imbolc it is today when the season is considered to begin. It is also the date of the Druidry Festival Alban Eilir (The Light of the Earth). A time for growth and balance… the return to life until it reaches its full boom and peak on forthcoming Beltane (May Day Festival) where everything will be in full bloom. Splatters of colours, tender grass and animals coming out from their lairs. Soon the canopy of the forest will be lush and will rustle with its “new leaves” voice.

The symbolic plant of the Equinox is the trefoil and that’s why the celebration of Saint Patrick a few days ago is also related to the welcoming of the new season. Read my previous post about Saint Patrick and my obsession for “green”
So ready to bloom?
It doesn't matter if you are entering Spring (or Autumn) because the message of the song transcends the seasonal metaphor

It took some time but I found them both. The little snow rattie wasn't too hard to find, but the brown tree rattie very difficult for me. Still, it's more fun when it takes some effort and I get to enjoy listening to your wonderful song multiple times.

Nor complaining of the multiple listens, it's a simple song but the words are heartfelt and mean a lot to me in many ways. Thank you, there is even a quieter more lullaby version on spotify but this is the official version and song.... It's more than a Spring song (after all in the Southern hemisphere people are embracing Autumn now) but it's more about leaving out fears behind and unfold into the light
