The coconut tree truly deserves the name Tree of Life as everything about the tree from the tip of it’s leaves to its root it is highly beneficial to both humans and animals.

As the tree itself serves as shelter for man, I know you want me to give you details about why it is given this particular name, so keep reading while I prove to you the tree of life as no part of the tree is useless.

• Thicken your sauce or stew by adding the coconut milk when cooking.
• It is a good conditioner for the hair
• You can also use it to substitute your dairy milk
• Aids the treatment of eye infections, you just need to wash the eyes with coconut milk when infected.
• Cures Sore Throat by taking 2 tablespoons of coconut milk 3times daily.

Do stop the intake when throat feels better to avoid having stomach upset.

Coconut oil

It’s is used for skin care and also a good agent for hair boosting, the coconut oil can also be used to aid treatments of various ailments.

• Headaches and fever can be be cured by mixing the coconut oil with cinnamon oil, rub the mixture on where it pains and all over the body in the case of fever.
• This contains LAURIC ACID which boosts the immune system.
• it’s ability to kill worms make its intake perfect for deworming. Just take 1teaspoon twice daily.
• it’s good for easy digestion.

To get coconut oil refrigerate the coconut milk for 24hours, after refrigeration remove the solid white part and put in a stainless steel pot to heat in low heat for an hour. Sieve to get clear and clean coconut oil.

Eating of heated young coconut relieves Abdominal Pains.

The Husk

The husk is used to make mats, nets, potting compost (this enhances soil quality), dolls hair, sewing tread, ropes and so on.

Coconut Water

This is gotten by breaking up the coconut, it is found in the coconut inner flesh. The coconut water is rich in Potassium and Natural Vitamin C, it also high electrolyte content. It is used for;

• Treating Stomach Aches
• Aids the treatment of uninary related illness
• Used in treating Sunburns
• It’s also aids the treatment of kidney related diseases.

The roots

• Cures Eczema by just adding root mixture to the affected area. The root mixture is made by boiling the washed root in water (add little quantity of salt).
• Drinking the roots mixture aids the treatment of fibrosis
