¿Conoces el billete de 2$? Mira mi pequeña colección de monedas / Do you know the $2 bill? Look at my little coin collection

El día de hoy estaba ordenando un poco mi cuarto y recordé que tengo un estuche donde guardo algunas monedas que colecciono desde la vez que estuve fuera del país, había olvidado por completo que tengo un billete de 2$ y se que son muy raros de ver, así que hoy quiero mostrarles esta pequeña colección que tengo, y algunas cosas que quizás no sabias.

Today I was tidying up my room a little bit and I remembered that I have a case where I keep some coins that I collect since the time I was out of the country, I had completely forgotten that I have a $2 bill and I know that they are very rare to see, so today I want to show you this little collection that I have, and some things that maybe you didn't know.

En primer lugar el billete de 2$ es quizás el mas raro de todas las denominaciones 1-2-5-10-20-50-100-1000-100.000, es una de las denominaciones mas bajas del Dolar Estadounidense, pero no la mas usada, se dice que los billetes de 2$ ocupan quizás el 1% de todos los billetes impresos en USA y que aun se utilizan actualmente, es decir aun son vigentes, a diferencia del billete de 1000 y 100.000 que ya no están vigentes y ambos tienen su propia historia y el por que fueron creados.

First of all the 2$ bill is perhaps the rarest of all the denominations 1-2-5-10-20-50-100-1000-100.000, it is one of the lowest denominations of the US Dollar, but not the most used, it is said that the 2$ bills occupy perhaps 1% of all the bills printed in the USA and that they are still in use today, that is to say they are still valid, unlike the 1000 and 100.000 bills that are no longer valid and both have their own history and why they were created.

Muy pocos conocen de la existencia de este billete y pocos lo tienen en su poder, hay quienes lo guardan para la buena suerte como es mi caso, y hay quienes lo guardan para la historia. Sinceramente yo tampoco creía que la existencia de este billete, hasta que una señora me lo mostró en Ecuador, y por motivos de buena suerte llegue a tener uno que recibí como método de pago.
En el reverso del billete se ve la típica frase "in god we trust" que es característica en todos los billetes y monedas de USA, ya que es su lema nacional oficial, fue elegido por el Congreso en el año 1956 y también posee una recreación de la Declaración de Independencia hecha por John Trumbull.

Very few know about the existence of this banknote and few have it in their possession, there are those who keep it for good luck as it is my case, and there are those who keep it for history. I honestly didn't believe in the existence of this banknote either, until a lady showed it to me in Ecuador, and for reasons of good luck I came to have one that I received as a method of payment.
On the back of the bill you can see the typical phrase "in god we trust" which is characteristic of all U.S. bills and coins, since it is their official national motto, was chosen by Congress in 1956 and also has a recreation of the Declaration of Independence made by John Trumbull.

Otra cosa que quizás no sabían o quizás si, es que en Ecuador existe un dolar propio denominado Dolar Ecuatoriano, y consiste en una serie de monedas de 50-25-10-1 centavos, impresas por el banco de Ecuador, aunque quizás sonaría mejor los Centavos Ecuatorianos, estas monedas fueron acuñadas para suplir la demanda, ya que mayormente en este país se utilizan monedas y billetes de baja denominación, ver un billete de 50 o 100$ en la calle es sumamente extraño. Estas monedas solo tienen valor monetario en el país, a diferencia del Dolar Estadounidense que su moneda tiene valor en cualquier país del mundo.

Ahora veamos las monedas que tengo para mostrarles, muchos conocen el billete de 1$ es muy famoso y utilizado en muchas partes, pero en Ecuador en particular tampoco es muy común ver personas pagar con estos billetes, es mucho mas común ver las monedas color dorado de 1$, sin embargo hay quienes tienen el Dolar de color Plata, que es una moneda que ya dejo de acuñarse y es de cobre y níquel, llamada Dólar Anthony revestido, con la característica águila que representa a los Estados Unidos.

Continuamos con la moneda de 50 centavos o half dollar, la moneda estadounidense tiene la cara de John F. Kennedy y aun es acuñada hasta la fecha, hay 4 diferentes diseños pero el mas comun es la moneda con el rostro de Kennedy, la moneda Ecuatoriana es igual a esta en cuanto a tamaño y peso, pero con el Rostro de un personaje celebre de Ecuador Eloy Alfaro.

Seguimos con la moneda de 25 centavos o quarter dollar, es la moneda mas utilizada y tiene muchos diseños, me atrevería a decir que cada Estado del territorio de USA acuño su propia moneda, ya que hay 50 diseños, yo poseo la que tiene el rosto de George Washington y la frase E Pluribus Unum, al igual que su anterior compañera existe la moneda de 25 centavos Ecuatorianos, y tiene el rosto de José Joaquín de Olmedo, ambas son del mismo diámetro y peso y esta es la mas utilizada en el país Sudamericano, ya que el costo del metro o cualquier transporte equivale a 25c, al igual que muchos productos.

Roosevelt, y el reverso la frase E pluribus unum, de igual manera su compañera de Ecuador es del mismo diámetro y peso, pero con el rosto de Eugenio Espejo, aunque su valor monetario es muy pequeño aun sigue vigente, y en el país Sudamericano es muy utilizada.

Y por ultimo las monedas de 5-1c son las monedas de menor denominación, la de 5c tiene el rostro de Thomas Jefferson y el reverso la frase E Pluribus Unum, desconozco la cantidad de diseños que existan, y al igual su compañera ecuatoriana tiene mismo diametro y peso pero con el rostro de Juan Montalvo.
La moneda de 1c tiene de rostro Abraham Lincoln y la frase In God we trust ya que su diseño es del 2010, de igual manera desconozco la cantidad de diseños existentes, y en Ecuador la moneda de un centavo no tiene rosto de algún personaje, tampoco es del mismo color, aunque tiene el mismo diámetro y peso, esta hecha de latón y no de cobre, lamentablemente jamas pude ver una.

And finally the 5-1c coins are the smaller denomination coins, the 5c coin has the face of Thomas Jefferson and the reverse side has the phrase E Pluribus Unum, I do not know the amount of designs that exist, and like its Ecuadorian partner has the same diameter and weight but with the face of Juan Montalvo.

Luego de aburrirlos con esta larga historia que quizás ya sabían, aun falta lo mejor de mi colección, dos monedas de Venezuela, cuando su nombre era Estados Unidos de Venezuela, 2 Bolívares era el valor de esta moneda y muchos la conocen como Bamba según esta hecha de pura plata, incluso al dejarla caer tiene un sonido peculiar, acuñada en 1929. La otra moneda es 1 Bolívar según su valor, acuñada en 1960, quizás no sea tan importante como la primera pero son monedas muy antiguas.
Ambas tienen el rosto de Simón Bolívar, y la palabra Libertador y en el reverso el antiguo escudo de Venezuela.

Es una colección sencilla no es nada extravagante, pero es mi recuerdo del extranjero, al igual que algunos pesos colombianos y soles peruanos, que no les mostrare para no aburrirlos.
