Solo florece 3 días /Only blooms for 3 days

Los símbolos naturales en mi país son la orquídea, el turpial y el araguaney como árbol nacional. Cabe destacar que en mi país Venezuela no se dan las 4 estaciones como en los demás, solo tenemos 2 períodos, sequía y lluvia, en el estado donde vivo particularmente le dicen la bacinilla del mundo porque llueve casi a diario sin importar si es época de sequía.

Las lluvias suelen comenzar entre abril y mayo, siendo este último el mes en que todas las plantas suelen florecer.

Lo peculiar del Araguaney es que se despoja de todas sus hojas, exactamente como sucede en otoño en otros países y luego se se viste por completo de amarillo, sus flores cubren todo el árbol y solo por 3 días todos deben voltear a ver su esplendor.

Después de esto todas sus flores se caen para dar paso a nuevos retoños y debemos esperar todo un año para volver a deleitarnos con su belleza.

Cerca de mi casa se encuentra uno de los más hermosos que he visto, pero cuando me di cuenta ya había perdido las flores, esto me entristeció un poco porque me encanta y cada año espero ansiosa que florezca para admirar su belleza.

Hace poco tuve que salir de casa y encontré uno con flores y no dude en hacer fotos, aunque es demasiado pequeño comparado con el otro.

No soy persona de estar haciendo fotos a cada instante pero esta cuarentena me ha hecho replantearme esa idea, ya que dadas las circunstancias las fotografías nos mantienen conectados con nuestros recuerdos y momentos más felices, a mi me han ayudado mucho a mantener la esperanza de volver a disfrutar de las cosas que tanto me gustan.

The natural symbols in my country are the orchid, the turpial and the araguaney as the national tree. It should be noted that in my country Venezuela there are not the 4 seasons as in the others, we only have 2 periods, drought and rain, in the state where I live they particularly call it the potty of the world because it rains almost daily regardless if it is a dry season.

The rains usually start between April and May, this last being the month when all the plants usually flower.

The peculiarity of the Araguaney is that it strips itself of all its leaves, exactly as it happens in autumn in other countries and then it dresses completely in yellow, its flowers cover the whole tree and only for 3 days everyone must turn around to see its splendor.

After this all its flowers fall off to give way to new shoots and we must wait a whole year to enjoy its beauty again.

Near my house is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen, but when I realized I had already lost the flowers, this made me a little sad because I love it and every year I wait anxiously for it to bloom to admire its beauty.

Recently I had to leave the house and I found one with flowers and I didn't hesitate to take pictures, although it is too small compared to the other one.

I am not a person of taking pictures every moment but this quarantine has made me rethink that idea, because given the circumstances the pictures keep us connected with our memories and happier moments, they have helped me a lot to keep the hope of enjoying again the things I like so much.
