People at Palace Square
I always take pictures of ordinary people, spectators, when I make a photo report from an event. It seems to me that these photos allow you to better feel the atmosphere of the event. Ordinary people - the way they look, how they are dressed, the expressions of their faces - provide more for understanding what is happening than the most detailed photo report of the event.
I took photographs of spectators of the rehearsal for the Victory Day parade on Palace Square a year ago. Now these photos look very unusual. A crowd of people without masks and no one is trying to keep social distance. The cyclist has to walk and drive the bike next to him to pass a particularly crowded place. Which way you look, everywhere you see tourists from different countries, especially tourists from China are numerous. I really want these photos to be again perceived as a familiar reflection of urban life.
