Esta es la última semana de actividades escolares, y en casa estamos muy contentos de que terminaremos con éxito el año académico, aún en el escenario actual. Esta vez saldremos de vacaciones tanto padres como hijos, porque a nosotros también nos tocó estudiar junto a ellos.

This is the last week of school activities, and at home we are very happy that we will successfully finish the academic year, even in the current scenario. This time we will go on vacation for both parents and children, because we also had to study with them.

Hoy disfruté mucho las tareas escolares de mi hijo de 3er grado, había una parte en la que él debía leer un cuento en el que se hablaba de la honestidad y la importancia del buen consejo de los padres. En casa siempre les estamos inculcando valores a nuestros niños, así que fue una buena oportunidad para, una vez más, conversar al respecto.

Today I really enjoyed my 3rd grader's homework, there was a part where he had to read a story about honesty and the importance of good parenting advice. At home we are always instilling values in our children, so it was a good opportunity to, once again, talk about it.

Para nosotros la honestidad es fundamental y muestra quién eres cuando nadie te ve. Ser honesto supone sinceridad, integridad y coherencia entre lo que se siente, se dice, se piensa y se hace.

But the most important thing is that you are at peace with yourself and with God.

Siempre les repito a mis hijos: Es mejor decir la verdad, aunque duela, y aunque sepamos que las consecuencias no nos gusten. Es mejor una incomodidad a ensuciar nuestro corazón. Debemos ser valientes y enfrentar la vida con entereza, sin perder nuestra escencia en el camino. Mucha diversión / Lots of fun

Otra parte de sus tareas era jugar a adivinar el personaje. Este juego consiste en escribir en papelitos diversos personajes a imitar para que el resto de la familia lo adivine y quien logre acertar más personajes es quien gana.

Mis hijos desde temprano estaban muy emocionados con la idea de ver a su papá haciendo mímicas. Mientras hacían sus tareas, cada vez que lo pensaban se reían. Hasta que al fin, después de la cena estuvimos listos para jugar.

My kids were very excited early on about seeing their dad mime. While they were doing their homework, every time they thought about it they laughed. Until finally, after dinner, we were ready to play.

Al terminar el juego, mi hijo, aún emocionado me dice: "mami, Dios me hizo muy afortunado de ver a mi papá haciendo mímicas". Fueron las palabras literales de mi hijo de 9 años. Son el tipo de detalles que me enseñan lo especiales que son nuestros hijos.
