Me embarga la emoción ante esta oportunidad. Nuestros amigos de @rutablockchain han generado un espacio donde podemos expresar nuestro agradecimiento a nuestra fiel y querida ballenita: @appreciator. Es algo que siempre había querido hacer, pero no deseaba ser imprudente.

Es tanto lo que quiero decir, que no sé por dónde empezar...

Antes de @appreciator

El principio

Inicié en esta red social (bueno, tenía otro nombre) en un momento en que el precio de su token se desplomó, hace un poco más de 2 años. Así que no tuve tiempo para disfrutar de una de esas jugosas recompensas de entonces. Sin embargo, decidí continuar escribiendo para mejorar mis publicaciones y crecer en la comunidad, con el sueño de que algún día la moneda recuperara su valor y poder vivir uno de esos momentos de éxtasis, que tantas veces vi a mis compañeros de oficina experimentar, cuando recibían algún voto de cervantes (una comunidad de apoyo a la comunidad hispana). Uno de esos colegas, aún se extremece cuando recuerda una recompensa que recibió que superaba los 100$.

Un reto superado

Cuando el precio cayó, casi todos ellos dejaron de escribir, debido a que lo generado en sus post, no era atractivo. Yo sólo seguí publicando, creo que buscando ser merecedora de crédito o reconocimiento. Necesitaba seguir intentándolo hasta dejar de ser invisible. Como un año después, recibí mi primer voto de esa comunidad que tantas veces hizo feliz a mis amigos. Entonces me sentí complacida.

Lo trascendental

Después de alcanzar esa meta, había encontrado en el camino otra motivación para permanecer activa. Para ser honesta, no soy amiga de las redes sociales tradicionales, normalmente saturadas de superficialidad. Valoro mi tiempo y procuro no desaprovecharlo. Pero aquí, la interacción con personas encantadoras y su buen contenido, me hicieron sentir parte de este lugar, independientemente de las recompensas, que seguían casi imperceptibles y que mayormente agregaba a mi poder de voto. Fue en este momento cuando mi blog se volvió en algo más trascendental para mí: una forma de permanecer en el tiempo para mis afectos. De esta manera, logré un estímulo más profundo y duradero, aunque siempre con la ilusión guardada poder hacer algo importante con lo generado en mis publicaciones.

Mi mayor recompensa

Recuerdo claramente mi primer voto de @appreciator. De hecho, creo que fue el post en el que he recibido la mayor recompensa, en todo el tiempo que llevo aquí. Me encanta participar en las iniciativas de las diferentes comunidades, porque es una forma de interactuar, darse a conocer y lograr reconocimiento, así que había participado en una de @blocktrades, que siempre son geniales. En esa entrada recibí el voto de @blocktrades y de @appreciator ¡mi post marcaba $39.52! ¡me sentí tan feliz! no lo podía creer.

Mi fiel compañero

Desde ese entonces @appreciator se convirtió en mi fiel compañero, que me anima a seguir adelante, a escribir tanto como pueda. Debo confesar que es la razón por la que genero contenido con mayor frecuencia. Y aún en las ocasiones que no aparece en mis publicaciones, yo estoy feliz de que existe, de que está allí, apoyando a muchos, como lo hace conmigo. En mi hogar es un miembro más de la familia, es común que esté presente en nuestras conversaciones y que mis hijos pregunten ¿mami te votó appreciator? Me pregunto si sabe lo importante que él es, para los que recibimos su apoyo.

Y comencé a materializar mis recompensas

Antes de @appreciator cambiaba de vez en cuando para unos helados o para ir al cine con mis hijos. Me parecía una manera de disfrutar y compartir con ellos el tiempo invertido en mi blog. Les decía: esto es cortesía de steemit (así se llamaba).

Ahora, mis recompensas crecieron: mi poder de voto se incrementa y también mi reputación, que es algo muy difícil cuando no recibes buenos votos. ¡Y hasta estoy aprendiendo trading!

Eventualmente, cuando necesitamos algo puntual en casa, le digo a mi esposo: tranquilo, cambiaré algunas monedas. Eso me hace sentir tan bien. Y no crean que tengo una fortuna, pero es mucho más de lo que había obtenido en todo el tiempo que tengo con mi blog.

Dos adquisiciones importantes y recientes son: mi chip Digitel (10 $) y la mayor parte del monto para dos celulares (200 $), uno para cada uno de mis hijos, justo el mes que acaba de terminar, en sus cumpleaños. La emoción que vivimos en casa fue tanta, que le voy a dedicar un post completo a ese día. Algo así era impensable con lo que percibía antes y la verdad tampoco nuestro salario de la vida real nos lo permite.

No puedo dejar de mencionar que son muchas las comunidades y personas que me han alentado y apoyado en este transitar (prefiero no mencionar a ninguna, para evitar olvidar alguna).

Agradezco a todos los que de una manera u otra hacen posible esta experiencia y a los que hacen de ella algo agradable. Algunos tienen la gracia de poder apoyar con recompensas, otros con buen contenido; otros con hermosas palabras de aliento, de amistad, de esperanza. Lo cierto es que cada quien tiene su fortaleza y su rol en este mar de oportunidades. A todos y cada uno de ustedes, gracias.

The beginning

I started on this social network (well, I had another name) at a time when the price of his token plummeted, a little over 2 years ago. So I didn't have time to enjoy one of those juicy rewards back then. However, I decided to continue writing to improve my publications and to grow in the community, with the dream that someday the coin would recover its value and I could live one of those moments of ecstasy, that I so often saw my fellow office workers experience, when they received some vote from cervantes (a community of support for the Hispanic community). One of those colleagues is still very upset when he remembers a reward he received that exceeded $100.

A challenge overcome

When the price fell, almost all of them stopped writing, because what they generated in their posts was not attractive. I just kept on publishing, I think looking to get credit or recognition. I needed to keep trying until I was no longer invisible. About a year later, I received my first vote from that community that so many times made my friends happy. Then I was pleased.

The transcendental

After reaching that goal, I had found another motivation to stay active. To be honest, I'm no friend of traditional social networks, which are usually saturated with superficiality. I value my time and try not to waste it. But here, the interaction with lovely people and their good content, made me feel part of this place, regardless of the rewards, which were still almost imperceptible and which mostly added to my voting power. It was at this point that my blog became something more transcendental for me: a way to stay in time for my affections. In this way, I achieved a deeper and more lasting stimulus, although always with the illusion of being able to do something important with what was generated in my publications.

After @appreciator

My greatest reward

I clearly remember my first vote as an 'appreciator'. In fact, I think it was the post on which I received the greatest reward, in all the time I've been here. I love to participate in the initiatives of the different communities, because it is a way to interact, make yourself known and achieve recognition, so I had participated in one of @blocktrades, which are always great. In that post I received the vote of @blocktrades and @appreciator, my post marked $39.52! I felt so happy! I couldn't believe it.

My faithful companion

Since then, @appreciator has become my faithful companion, encouraging me to keep going, to write as much as I can. I must confess that this is the reason why I generate content more often. And even in the occasions when it doesn't appear in my publications, I am happy that it exists, that it is there, supporting many, as it does with me. In my home he is a member of the family, it is common for him to be present in our conversations and for my children to ask, "Did Mommy vote for you as an appreciator? I wonder if he knows how important he is, for those of us who receive his support.

And I began to realize my rewards

Before @appreciator I changed from time to time for some ice cream or to go to the movies with my kids. It seemed like a way to enjoy and share with them the time spent on my blog. I would tell them: this is courtesy of steemit (that was his name).

Now, my rewards have grown: my voting power has increased and so has my reputation, which is very difficult when you don't get good votes, and I'm even learning to trade!

Eventually, when we need something punctual at home, I tell my husband: don't worry, I'll change some coins. That makes me feel so good. And don't think I have a fortune, but it's much more than I've gotten in all the time I have with my blog.

Two recent and important acquisitions are: my Digitel chip ($10) and most of the amount for two cell phones ($200), one for each of my kids, just the month that just ended, on their birthdays. The excitement we experienced at home was so much that I'm going to dedicate a full post to that day. Something like this was unthinkable with what I was earning before, and the truth is that our real-life salary doesn't allow it either.
