A Private Watch Party
Last Sunday, after Mass, I went to see a movie.
I watched Cruella!
However, the movie theater was closed to the public. The ticket booth was closed.
Only a limited people were allowed. Guest were let inside the theater, and checked-in by the door inside the theater.
Although the snack bar was staffed with three employees, there was not the usual theater crowd. Getting a soda and a big bag of popcorn was a breeze!
Nope, there was not the usual crowd. The corridor were were empty leading to the view rooms were empty.
This was a private showing of the movie Crulla for our group of friends!
They would allow a maximum of 20, but we were only 12!
The Private Watch Party was arrange by a sorority sister.
The movie produced by Disney was enjoyable!
We had a blast having the theater to ourselves!
This was my first-time back to a movie house since the pandemic.

theaters are open in Russia, at least in Moscow and St.Petersberg. We attended the
MAJOR GROM: PLAGUE DOCTOR (2021) superhero movie back in April.
The major cities are open?
It must be that the cases are contained!

I'd love to see this movie too.
The Theater can't be making a decent profit, maybe enough to keep the lights on with this business model. At least on a party group basis having friends watch with you help keeps it fun and still have some Audience dynamics.
Homemade popcorn isn't the same as Theater made popcorn.

I thoroughly enjoyed this... I've been missing it for a while now, but to have the theater to just a bunch of us... only 12 of us... was a good experience! It's like having your own theater! So cool!

Nice to have the movie theater to yourselves. We recently had a similar experience for another movie, except we didn't plan a private show... There just happened to be no crowd.
I actually didn't love this movie. It wasn't the worst ever, but I was ready for it to be over. I wish the story would have focused on the Dalmatians being vicious throughout the production, rather than Cruella being an outright satantic occultist willing to do anything to be on top of Hell Hall. I guess I am saying I would rather have a 101 Dalmatians remake instead of a movie focused on Cruella Deville or DEVIL as they literally call her in this film.

Yeah, there were scenes that you wanted to be hurried up!
But I enjoyed it just the same, being the first movie that I watch after a long while!

How nice! I have not been to a moving since way before the pandemic. We would occasionally go with this single gal we know; I even still have gift cards enough to not have to pay for it. I'm not sure if I would be comfortable with a crowded movie theater but the way you guys did it was awesome!

I don't know either! Everything is enclosed, and I felt that 20 in that small space is too much. I sat alone at the back most, Julie and Dave sat together in another row, then each couple took a row... still I felt uncomfortable.
It's such a crazy mixed up world anymore! I know we obviously won't ever go back to how it was, but I do miss it! Now, it just makes me think how 'germy' everything and everyone could be. I don't like looking at everything that way.

I love it now!!!
We found several types of kimchi at stores near us. One variety has shrimp and anchovies, the other variety does not have any fish at all. The mild version has got some real kick to it!😊

Malaysian theaters are still closed. Sad. Nothing beats going to the movies :(

There is something about the movie theater that TV watching, even in home theaters, cannot approximate.
The movie was okay!
It was the beginning of the movie Dalmatian. Emma Stone played her part well.
