Reminiscing A farewell Party

Good Day guys!

I was looking through my gallery and stumbled upon these photos. Our Physical Medicine Rehabilitation Department decided to give our Chief Physical Therapist a farewell party because he was about to resign. We were brain storming ideas on what will we do during this farewell party. I was joking on how to make the tarp and they actually made it. I kinda feel like an asshole for suggesting that. But it made a lot of us laugh.

We celebrated his farewell party at Camp John Hay. We were all required to wear white. I remember that we tried to trick our chief into using a different color, but he brought an extra shirt which was white so he wouldn't stand out.

I really love the field in this place because you can do so much activities. This was where we were able to play some of the games. But what made me sad about it was how degraded it was compared to before. This place actually made me reminisce my childhood because we used to play here.

Before eating we played some games. That is me holding a bat. The objective of the game was to smash the watermelon blindfolded while someone is guiding you. They blindfolded me and they spun me around for a couple of times. The first time they spun me, I actually fell. The second try I was able to walk forward but unfortunately I wasn't able to smash it. We stopped playing this because the bat broke, because it hit a rock.

This was what he had for lunch(typical party food in the Philippines) Spaghetti, rice, Salad, Kaldereta,

Fish and Watermelon.

And the best part LECHON!(Roasted Pig). I really like lechon. This lechon was just cooked perfectly because the skin was crispy and the meat had a lot of flavor in it.

One of the doctor's who attended the farewell party treated us Taho. Taho is a Philippine snack that is made out of silken tofu, arnibal(Sweetener) and sago pearls.

I opted for the Ube( purple Yam) flavored taho because I really love it's taste. It has a distinct taste which makes it delicious to eat.

There is actually one thing that I really appreciate about Camp John Hay and it is there pine trees. They still have a lot of trees surrounding their compound. I really hope that they won't get too greedy and destroy the trees in this property. Hopefully they'll be able to preserve this place for the future generation.

We truly enjoyed this farewell party. You can already see from the food that we enjoyed. I really hope the best for him because he was one of the kindest staff in our Rehab Department.

It kinda sucks that I'm only stuck reminiscing on all the photos from before. I hope that this pandemic will end so we can go back to celebrating parties and going out.

Hope you guys enjoyed reading!

Thanks for reading and Stay safe always!
