The Story of 'Bangle' || My Monochrome Monday alone with some colorful images!

The bangle is part of our culture. Traditional Bangali women love to ware Bangle. There are so many varieties of bangles it's hard to know even their name. In modern days, women don't use it in daily life very often, but during different special occasions like a wedding, it's a must accessory. Also, when we ware 'Sharee', we try to ware bangles too as a part of the accessories!

I personally don't wear any Bangle, I prefer bracelets. But I do have some collection. Also, I don't miss seeing all the colors and variety of Bangles if I get the chance. It's really fascinating to see a shop or place full of beautiful colorful bangles.

Last month, while visiting my University campus, I found many bangle sellers were on the street showcasing and & selling their collections. It was such a nice experience to see all the 'Dala' where they put the bangles. These are called 'Reshmi churi' in Bangla. 'Churi' means bangle in Bangla. You see, the word Bangle has a similarity with 'Bangla' 'Bangle'. Maybe it's because of the cultural connection!

I'm sharing some B&W photos for this monochrome Monday. I know it's good to see the colored version as they are full of color. But unfortunately, unknowingly my B&W mood was on in my camera and some photos came out like this. And I'm an opportunist so I'm sharing them for monochrome Monday. I hope you don't mind!

The best thing about this type of bangle is it doesn't cost much. Women love to match it with their ware and it looks really fascinating to me.

Now, I'm sharing some colorful photos to bless your eyes!

These bangles are made with glass. So, when we ware it, it makes a beautiful sound when we move. More or less we all have some glass made bangle. Though it's not anything fancy but as I was saying it's a part of our tradition. There's another interesting reason women ware these bangles. There's a saying or I would say a conception, that our Bangali boys or men have a huge fascination for this type of glass made bangles. So, it's an easy way to attract your man!

I hope you like my captures and I wish you a very colorful Monday!
