Roasting My Own Coffee
Hi everyone. I was roasting my coffee yesterday. I have some kinds of coffee to roast. You know, I live in Gayo Highland where Sumatra Coffee grow. Gayo Sumatra Coffee is one of the best one in the world. It’s famous for complex earthy flavor and unique processing.
Most coffee we found here is arabica. But there is also Robusta in part of province below 1000 meter of sea level. Arabica could grow well from around Lampahan Subdistrict to Jagong and Atu Lintang which has above 1500 meters of sea level.
I was harvesting the coffee from my own farm, located in Bener Meriah, one of district in Gayo Highlands. Our coffee is arabica.
I was processing them through full wash process. It took quite long to dry. I dried them about 2 weeks in a green house.
So, I roasted them in our factory. I use Toper Roaster Machine made in Turkey. It’s a famous roaster machine.
We provide roasted beans and coffee powder to the coffee market in our town.
Our coffee brand is Katoomba Coffee. We take coffee from our farm and roasted them by my self. For sure, I love coffee.
So you aren't just a doctor lol. That is a fantastic business to have and especially that we all love coffee. I am impressed and a little jealous.
Hahahaa... I didn’t tell you yet about our bussiness in coffee. I live in “huge coffee farm”, I must get involved in their business as well. 😀😀
Our brand is Katoomba Coffee. Not export yet, it’s still for local consumption..
