Oldies are already familiar with the importance of Engagement on Hive. This post will be more useful to newbies who are just started out and finding ways to grow and it could also be reminder to the Oldies. There is no magic in it, Hive has a thousand ways to earn and engage not only by making quality posts. You must leverage on the different ways and use it.

  • Use related Hashtags
Use of related tags is another factor that will drag attention to your post. With tags, your post can be made accessible to the audience. Do not spam tag simply because you want to be seen, its not the best thing.
  • Quality Comments
Its no longer news that spamming is crime here. You don't ever want to be found wanting. Ensure you go through the author's article, get an idea of what the post is all about, then drop a constructive feedback either through praise, criticism, questions or addition of ideas. Don't make comments based on just the topic and avoid all those conventional comments such as ''well done, good post, nice one, thanks for sharing, goodmorning... Bla bla"

  • Reply to Comments
I noticed that some writers completely neglect people who make comments on their posts. This is not mandatory but it's very important to relate with them, answer their questions, thank them for their contributions and get to know them better. Unless you have something to offer, nobody will be interested in you.
  • Avoid Spamming At All Cost
Back in steemit we had a dangerous bit... CHEETAH. She was always on the look out for spammers, plagiarised contents and farm voters. I don't know if we had a such a bot here but am sure spamming isn't allowed here. You will be caught, that I can assure you. So just keep the quality content flowing and do not settle for less
