BLOGGING CHALLENGE Day 7: My five favorite songs /Mis cinco canciones favoritas ENG/ESP es favoritas [ESP/ENG]l [ESP/ENG].
Hello friends, the challenge of this seventh day is like selecting five needles in a haystack, is that there are so many songs that I like that five seem few.
Well, but since we have to fulfill the challenge, here I leave you with five of the songs that I like the most, because of their content, because of the interpreter, because of the memory that they awaken in me, because of the music.
Somewhere over the Rainbow - Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwoʻ: listening to this beautiful voice is for me very relaxing in addition to the message it carries. I love this song, the lyrics, the music accompanied by the sound of the ukulele and when I watch the original video I feel that energy that Israel the interpreter projects ,surrounded by the people who knew him in that wonderful landscape of the Pacific Islands.
On your return from Henry Martinez, sung by Cecilia Todd. Both Venezuelan artists whom I have admired for many years for promoting Venezuelan folklore. This song speaks of the wait, of the return of the loved one. Every time I listen to it I imagine my children who are far away and that at some point they can return to their land.
Cantares by Joan Manuel Serrat, Catalan singer-songwriter, based on a poem by Antonio Machado. Beautiful song that speaks of the Spanish poet's exile.
Ojos color de los Pozos, sung by Rumy Olivo, interpreter of Venezuelan llanera music. The song is a poem by Venezuelan poet Alberto Arvelo Torrealba. I like this song because it brings back memories of the Venezuelan savannas.
Imagine by John Lennon. Beautiful song that speaks of an ideal world, of peace and love.
