Mis diez comidas favoritas
Cachapas
Me encantan con queso, mantequilla, cochino. Son exquisitas y es una comida típica de Venezuela. Yo las preparo y como vivo en la ciudad compro la masa de maíz ya lista, molida, en el mercado y en la casa le pongo azúcar, un poquito de leche y listo, las pongo en el budare.
I love them with cheese, butter, pork. They are exquisite and it is a typical meal in Venezuela. I prepare them and since I live in the city I buy the corn dough already ready, ground, in the market and in the house I put sugar, a little bit of milk and that's it, I put them in a budare.
Asado
Es una de las maneras más sabrosas de preparar la carne. Un buen pedazo de carne, acá le decimos muchacho. Yo la preparo como me enseño mi mamá, lo adobo bien, para que entre el aliño se le hacen unos huequitos a la carne. Pico cebolla, aji, pimentón, cilantro y tomates. Si tengo alcaparras también le pongo. La carne en aceite bien caliente en un caldero y le coloco un toque de azúcar o papelón para que se dore. Le pongo todos los aliños picados y lo cocino un poco y después le coloco suficiente agua para que se cocine la carne y se ablande y se haga la salsa.
It is one of the most flavorful ways to prepare meat. A good piece of meat, here we call it boy. I prepare it as my mother taught me, I marinate it well, so that the seasoning makes little holes in the meat. I chop onion, chili, paprika, cilantro and tomatoes. If I have capers I also put them. I put the meat in very hot oil in a pot and I put a touch of sugar or paper towels to make it brown. I put all the chopped seasoning and cook it a little bit and then I put enough water to cook the meat and soften it and make the sauce.
Pasticho
Bien sea de carne, de pollo o de berenjena me encanta.

Cuajado
Es un pastel típico del oriente venezolano, se hace con cazón, un pescado que se prepara guisado, se ponen capas de huevo batido, cazón, plátanos fritos, papas sancochadas y queso rallado y se van alternando, se hornea. Es una delicia.
It is a typical cake of the Venezuelan east, it is prepared with "cazón", a fish that is prepared stewed, layers of beaten egg, "cazón", fried bananas, boiled potatoes and grated cheese are put and they are alternated, it is baked. It is a delight.

Polenta criolla/Creole polenta
Se prepara con una masa dulce de harina de maíz a la cual se pone un poquito de vino. Se pone en una bandeja con carne molida o pollo esmechado, y huevos sancochados, al guiso se le pone alcaparras y pasitas. Se hornea

Comida China
Me gusta mucho el arroz chino, las lumpias, shop suey, el pollo y el cerdo agridulce. Uhmmm
I really like Chinese rice, lumpia, shop suey, chicken and sweet and sour pork. Uhmmm
Sopas/Soups
Adoro las sopas, siento que estoy comiendo algo muy bueno para mi cuerpo, me encantan de pollo, de costilla, de pescado, de verduras, las cremas de auyama, de papa, de espinaca, en fin todo tipo de sopa.
I love soups, I feel that I am eating something very good for my body, I love chicken, ribs, fish, vegetables, cream of auyama, potatoes, spinach, in short all kinds of soups.
Arepas
No podían faltar sobre todo si tienen un buen relleno, como por ejemplo queso amarillo y carne mechada, queso y ensalada de pollo, queso y aguacate, son muchas las combinaciones y solo las arepas con un buen queso de mano o queso guayanés, riquísimas.

Hallacas
Mi plato favorito de Navidad, pero que me gusta comer en cualquier época del año.
