@phortun´s Saturday upvote giveaway #97: submit your nominations

avatar

Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!

Welcome to the 97th round of my Saturday upvote giveaway, a weekly series where anyone can nominate good but undervalued posts that they have recently come across on Hive. I check all the nominations and upvote the best ones.

There are many great posts created on Hive every day that just don´t get the reward they deserve so let´s do some justice here together :)

The rules of the giveaway are simple:

1. Only one nomination (post) per person.
2. The nominated post cannot be older than 4 days.
3. Author of the nominated post must be plankton or minnow (HP<5,000).
4. Upvote value of the nominated post cannot be higher than $5.
5. No self-nominations.

Note: In case of a low number of nominations, I might not insist on some of these requirements so that more posts can make the cut and / or I can nominate some posts myself.

You can submit your nominations in the comment section below from now until Tuesday, 8 P.M. (CET) when I will go through all the nominated posts, pick up to 5 of them and reward them with my full upvote.

In the last round, I upvoted these nominated posts:

Amazing paddy field in Hoi An ancient town by @phuongthao98

Golden hour: Father Bernatek footbridge with flying acrobatic in Krakow, Poland by @liltammy

The first curiosities of Rover Perseverance - EN - CAST - Las primeras curiosidades de Rover Perseverance by @jorgebgt

The Underwater World of Koh Lipe by @george-topalov

Village "Miikovtsci" mountain region in Bulgaria, pure nature untouched! by @iliyan90

Feel free to visit their authors´ blogs and give them some Hivean love and appreciation too :)

Thank you for your cooperation. I am looking forward to checking and upvoting your nominations. Let´s help some hardworking but undervalued members of our community grow! :)

This giveaway series is about discovering and rewarding gems so I am posting it to the Gems Community.

I'm also trying to get people to your Saturday upvote give-away but is very hard for them to understand the network.

I know this struggle man, always hard to explain even the very basics of how things work here to newbies. But you have been doing a fantastic onboarding job, just keep it up :) I am sure now that you have more HP and this large upvote trail folllowing your own votes, it will be easier for you to bring new people here and help them in their beginnigs. Btw I don´t know if you know, but the Bulgarian community on Hive has another bright star here: @george-topalov. He´s currently living in Thailand but he´s a Bulgarian and his posts are just stunning ;)

Thanks for mentioning me again @phortun ^^. There are so much more Bulgarians now than there were before on Steemit when I was more active. And people don't really have to understand the network as long as they enjoy the environment and reading/posting in communities they are interested in. I introduced my mother to Steemit over 3 or 4 years ago and she never stopped being active here. She is even a moderator in 2 communities now but never really was into the crypto technical side of things.

That´s right but even if we ignore the crypto aspect of it, there are so many things to learn about how it works here... I mean the upvotes, the reward distribution system, there is Hive Power and voting power etc. etc. Not even talking about the witnesses and other things. The world of Hive is complex and it takes time to fully understand it but it´s important that people know it´s worth it :)

@phortun
I hope so...
But many people still can’t grasp that we are creating something way more valuable than money itself.
And they just don't stick around...
But now with my next project, I'm gonna show them how to withdraw money from here...
Because you know I need people that understand and believe in the platform.

Namaste 🙏

I know man :) Retention is probably even more important than onboarding. Anytime you need a helping hand with something, just let me know ;)
