Pero, ¿Realmente vale la pena alarmarse tanto?

Soy venezolano, residente en un pueblo de Chile, a unos 25 km de la ciudad principal de la región XVI. Coihueco, es un pueblo muy tranquilo, todo queda cerca y puedes caminar todo el lugar en poco tiempo. La Plaza de Armas, que es el lugar donde muchos hacen vida social, generalmente se encuentra con poca gente en días normales, y esto se debe a que a sus alrededores, está un banco (solo hay uno) un supermercado grande llamado Unimarc, la municipalidad y otros establecimientos que abastecen de comida y otros artículos de ferretería.

Aún así, la alarma es general, afectando emocionalmente a mucha gente. Sin embargo, a pesar de no ser religioso (que no es lo mismo que ser espiritual) vino a mi mente dos pasajes bíblicos que siempre han traído paz en mis momentos de agustia:

Muchas veces permitimos que nuestras propias preocupaciones, nos roben la paz y la tranquilidad que tanto anhelamos para estar calmados antes situaciones como la que estamos viviendo. Desesperarse, no traerá de ninguna manera beneficios al núcleo familiar, sino todo lo contrario.

Many times we allow our own concerns to rob us of the peace and tranquility that we so long to be calm before situations like the one we are experiencing. To live desperate, will not bring benefits to the family in any way, just the opposite.

El autor del libro que se cree el más antiguo de todos, lo dijo de la siguiente forma:

Tengamos en cuenta que la historia misma, la bíblica por supuesto, nos relata ocasiones donde circunstancias similares, ponían en peligro la vida de las personas, pero la confianza y la tranquilidad, jugaron un papel importante en el resultado. Así ocurrió hace unos 14 siglos atrás, cuando unas plagas azotaron a Egipto y a sus habiatantes, pero nada ocurrió a aquellos que confiaron e hicieron lo necesario para mantenerse a salvo.

Let's keep in mind that the story itself, the biblical one, of course, tells us occasions where similar circumstances endangered people's lives, but confidence and tranquility played an important role in the result. This was the case about 14 centuries ago when plagues hit Egypt and its inhabitants, but nothing happened to those who trusted and did what was necessary to stay safe.

¿Lo han leído alguna vez? Pensar si esta historia es real o ficticia, es más importante crear en nosotros esa confianza de que todo pasará y saldremos ilesos ante tal situación pandémica. Y sin lugar a dudas, la fe obra milagros y hace aquello que la ciencia jamás podrá explicar.

Have you ever read it? To think if this story is real or fictitious, it is more important to create in us that confidence that everything will happen and we will be unscathed in the face of such a pandemic situation. And without a doubt, faith works miracles and does what science can never explain.
