2 days walk in Uzhhorod in boots with colorful laces... Corso Street.

I will walk on the small historical city of Uzhgorod, which has its extremely colorful face, like laces on the shoes of my Darynka :)

Я прогуляюсь по маленькому історичному місту Ужгород, яке має надзвичайно колоритне обличчя, як шнурки на черевиках моєї Даринки :)

It is the administrative center of Transcarpathia, which stands on the river Uzh, on the border with Slovakia.
I came to Uzhgorod two years ago and walked for two days, and of course the acquaintance began with the building of the train station, which is fascinating with its beauty. It is round and like a castle.

Це адміністративний центр Закарпаття, що стоїть на річці Уж, на кордоні зі Словаччиною.
Я приїхала до Ужгорода два роки тому та гуляла по ньому два дні, і звичайно знайомство розпочалося з будівлі залізничного вокзалу, яка зачаровує своєю красою. Вона кругла і нагадує замок.

The first we visited in Uzhgorod is usually the embankment of the river Uzh. Pedestrian bridge and multicolored two - three storey houses on either side of the river.
The sculpture of the artist who liked my daughter ... The first impression of the city - I enjoy the harmony and comfort.

Перше, що ми відвідали в Ужгороді, звичайно це набережна річки Уж. Пішохідний міст і різнокольорові двоповерхові будинки по обидва боки від річки.
Скульптура художника, яка сподобалась моїй доньці... Перше враження про місто - я насолоджуюся гармонією та затишком.

Uzhgorod is a garden city in general! But its color is not green, but pink at a time when cherry blossoms bloom, which there are a lot!
The weather was cold and we didn't get to cherry blossoms. That means I'll be here again!

Ужгород - це взагалі місто-садок! Але його колір не зелений, а рожевий в той час, коли цвітуть сакури, яких тут дуже багато!
Погода була холодна, і ми не побачили цвіту сакури. Це означає, що я знову мушу сюди повернутись!

We continue to the main street Corso, which is a favorite tourist destination. There are many exclusive cafes and architectural monuments here. For example, my attention was drawn to cafe "Vertep", which has elements of national clothing and Transcarpathian cuisine.The cozy interior is designed in the style of the Transcarpathian village - massive furniture made of natural wood, towels and embroideries. Traditional Transcarpathian cuisine is served. Branded treats - a loaf of bread, beans with smoked meats, pancakes.

Ми продовжили свою прогулянку до головної вулиці Корсо, яка є улюбленим туристичним напрямком. Тут є багато ексклюзивних кафе та архітектурних пам’яток. Наприклад, мою увагу привернуло кафе "Вертеп", в якому є елементи національного одягу та закарпатської кухні. Затишний інтер'єр оформлений у стилі закарпатського села - масивні меблі з натурального дерева, рушники та вишивка. Тут подають традиційну закарпатську кухню. Фірмове частування - буханець хліба, квасоля з копченим м’ясом, млинці.

At the intersection of Corso - Voloshin streets there is a unique sculpture of a person who was a real resident who turned on electric lights in the city for 40 years! a real resident of the city, Uncle Kolya.
He is hanging by the lantern on the wall of an old house in the middle of town. According to legends - this is how, manually, this man switched on and off every night hundreds of city lights.

На перехресті вулиць Корсо - Волошин знаходиться унікальна скульптура людини, яка 40 років підряд кожного дня вмикала електричні ліхтарі по всьому місту! Справжній житель міста, дядько Коля.
Він висить біля ліхтаря на стіні старовинного будинку посеред міста. За легендами - він вручну, щовечора вмикав та вимикаа сотні вогнів міста.

Next to the cafe "Astika" we saw an interesting element - a globe of Uzhgorod!

Поруч з кафе "Астика" ми побачили цікавий елемент - глобус Ужгорода!

Through an interesting cozy yard, where a mock-up of the city is mounted on the wall.
We walked to the waterfront and spent a lot of time near the famous Jewish synagogue, I wrote about earlier.

Через цікавий затишний провулок, де на стіні встановлений макет міста, ми пройшли до набережної та багато часу провели біля [знаменитої єврейської синагоги] (https://travelfeed.io/@olga.maslievich/famous-jewish-synagogue-bet-shabad-uzhhorod), про яку писав раніше.

Now we can sit on the bench a little and move on. And you also share your wonderful memories!
