Impressive Fulham.

Tottenham took on Fulham in a London derby match and it lived up to its billing. Fulham gave Tottenham a run for their money and for one, I thought it would be an easy one for Tottenham without knowing Fulham had some tricks up their sleeves.

Fulham had the early chances but they couldn't make the chances count. And on the other hand, Regillion blazed over from 6 yards when the ball fell graciously to him.

Fulham really took the game to Tottenham and showed to be a threat on the break. They allowed Tottenham to have most of the ball and was seeking for where it would hurt. I was impressed with their showing because they showed no sign of fear.

In the 16th minute, Lloris saved a powerful shot from Anguissa. In all fairness, both had decent chances but Fulham looked more threatening.

Shortly after the threat from Anguissa, Kane had a brilliant chance in the 17th minute, to give his team the lead but the effort was saved right from his feet and in the 18th minute in like fashion, Son almost diverted an effort into the back of the net but was graciously saved with the feet of goalkeeper, Areola - who is on loan from PSG.

19th minute, Tottenham had a free-kick but nothing came out of it as it was blocked for a corner.

Areola was on top form and he saved brilliantly in the 24th minute from Son's header. It was a top-quality save. He was impressive on the night and probably kept Fulham in the game but the pressure from Tottenham finally paid off in the 25th minute when Kane scored with a brilliant header. No keeper in the world would have kept that out. It was perfectly executed to give Tottenham the lead and also the 30th Premier League goal as well. Fulham didn't retreat. They kept having a go at Tottenham.

Kane should have doubled the lead when another brilliant header came for him through a sumptuous cross from Aurier but he headed over.

In the 35th minute, Fulham broke away and an inviting cross came for Reuben Loftus Cheek but he cheekily missed the goal with an audacious acrobatic kick just marginally wide. Just 5 minutes after, Hojberg missed another one too from a Tottenham counter-attack.

Anguissa tried an audacious long-range strike but it didn't test Lloris as much as he would have liked. Lloris has only conceded just one goal in 6 games, so it would take a brilliant effort to beat him.

Sissoko had a great run at the defence line but took too long to get the shot out of his feet. The second half started and they both started on the front foot.

Tete tried to get Fulham ahead too with a shot from a tight angle but it only passed for a side betting. It was a lovely play from Fulham that led to that.

In the 55th minute, Harry Winks produced a curling effort that was saved by Areola. Fulham played with confidence and Tottenham knew they were in for trouble.

Son thought he had reduced the pressure on his team when he let loose his attempt only for the bar to stop it and it went straight to the hands of the gracious Areola. It was a huge left off for Fulham.

Fulham had to respond when the threats from Tottenham were becoming obvious and they responded brilliantly in the 74th minute. Their pressure finally paid off and it was deserving. The substitute, Lookman took a brilliant turn and run to find the waiting head of Cavaleiro who expertly nodded into the net with Lloris having no chance to save it. That is two-headed goals on the night and they were both expertly taken.

Regillion thought he had given Tottenham the lead in the 89th minute only for it to be ruled for offside and it was a right call. Regillion was denied his first ever goal for Tottenham.

The game ended with even Stephens (1-1) and Tottenham missed the chance to go 3rd in the league. Fulham felt they could have gotten the win with how well they played and I think so too, but if Tottenham took their chances as well, it could have gone their way too.

It was hard to know Tottenham played at home because Fulham kept on with the threats. It was an end to end match and Son couldn't turn up on the night with missed chances.

Spurs actually defended with their lives which explains why they are the ones with the least goals conceded in the league.

It was an important point for Fulham and it was duly deserved. This would feel like a defeat for Tottenham. They are now with just 1 win in 6 games and that win was against Leeds United - 3-0.
