Mr. Reaper, Not Today!
Reaper came on a sunday morning
It was a normal day in her closely knitted family
Papa Hulu got ready late
Mama Hulu was already dressed
The rest of the family got ready
They were all going out together
But they were stopped by an uninvited guest
Mr. Reaper the uninvited guest.
Papa! We are ready! They called him.
He came out dressed and ready
Hulu's phone beeped, lighting up her face
It was a job interview for Monday
She joined the rest of the family outside
But they came face to face with the guest
Mr. Reaper the uninvited guest.
It's time for y'all to join me. He said
They looked at themselves in shock
But we didn't do anything wrong. They said.
Please don't hurt us. They pleaded.
Take me instead. Mama Hulu said.

Hulu watched her mama move

She watched her family cry
She felt a lump of pain in her heart

But Mama refused to let Hulu go

Mr. Reaper got confused.
I don't have time for this. Mr. Reaper said
I give you one week to make up your minds. He said.
Choose your sacrificial lamb, I will be back. He said
Mr. Reaper disappeared leaving the family together.
Their memories got wiped,

None except Hulu, she remembered it all.

She was halfway gone in the truck with her family

Her family is alive, her Mama and Papa chuckled.
