DIY // Stitching my A line dress with a collar and Center Band

avatar

Hello Hiveians

Happy new week to all of us, I am happy its Monday and the Christmas week as well.
Its very funny though that as a designer I have not started making my own christmas outfit, I have lots of other customers clothes and that of my siblings that I need to put together latest by Wednesday.
Although Today am continuing the stitching and final finishing of my dress that I started earlier.

I was able to fix a Centre band out of my own discretion but still finding it difficult to draft and fix a bishops collar, that's the final step as you can see from the progress I made of designing this dress.

Corrections are welcome and sewind advice's are welcome.

I have already taking a break from my fashion school, where am still an appreciate in training I could have gotten help on how to fix the collar, but i may have to try this on my own.

I be drafting a pattern adding interface to the desired fabric and thinking of what next to do.

Thank you for having me.

For the bishop collar, I'd say measure the whole neckline round and use that to cut a straight piece. Then curve the two ends of the piece, sew to the neck.
