One Piece of Desire and a Bottle of Dreams

Arrrggghh...its getting to me, its getting to me,...its been almost two months now since my laptop last came on and its really getting to me, I'm missing so much, I'm extremely used to my laptop, there was even a time when my phone was really bad for almost a year, but I wasn't really bothered because I had my laptop where I did most things, be it reading or writing or designing with Photoshop, even minor trading, gaming, name it. 😫

Now I get to do most of all that on my phone and it is becoming extremely inefficient.

While I was using a bad phone, I used to think getting a new phone will solve all my problems because there were times when my hands are itching to write down a thought and my laptop couldn't be accessed because even though it's a laptop, you can't have it everywhere with you like having a mobile phone....you should see me in those days, it was always my laptop and I almost everywhere, it was very awkward and asides the safety risks, there were few unavoidable hits and falls that just kept draining life out of it, mind you, that laptop is over 5years old and I didn't even buy it brand new.

So I got a new phone at some point and a huge burden was lifted off my laptop, it did solve many of my problems, but it didn't solve all, I got to write at a whim, read, curate, try out applications, conveniently contact people and enjoy a bunch of stuff anyone will from a mobile phone while still using my laptop as support for things like running few graphic designs, playing few games, surfing the net, reading-due to larger screen and minor trading. Now that my laptop wouldn't turn on, I can't do all of that support stuff anymore.

Many designs have come in my head and gone because I failed to put them down instantly, especially these moments where Hive needs all the designs it can get, I could really be flexing my creative muscles there, playing Splinterlands hasn't also been as fun on my mobile phone as it used to be on my laptop even though the Splinterlands mobile version keeps getting better, I doubt it can ever beat playing it on a wide screen.

If I'm getting a new laptop, scratch that, I'm getting a new laptop, things I'm particularly considering as important is a high graphics processing laptop, a GPU precisely, I need to take my designing up a notch and it needs high processing graphics softwares, I had adobe after effects on my old laptop but it hangs, I also had adobe premier pro for video editing which I once had massive interest in, but couldn't explore because it was too heavy for my processor, I also had adobe illustrator, but it couldn't load as well because it was heavy, this was way back in 2016/17, I need to be above those limits, this is 2020, you get me.

I'm also considering a GPU because I still intend to go deep into mining, and I've read about a lot of projects in the past where I could actually mine crypto using good GPU's and I know it won't make me rich, don't worry you don't have to tell me that. I know @acidyo does mine or used to, but I think he has a proper mining rig he built, maybe he can shed a light here, eventually I plan to learn to build mine too, one weekend with @acidyo is enough to prop me up considering I'm a fast learner.

Then gaming ofcourse. I'm getting a high graphics processing computer for gaming, I should really be live streaming my gaming right now, I could be doing tutorials, walkthroughs on C.O.D, Splinterlands, Blackops, FarCry, name it, there are a ton of adventure games out there I'm missing out on. Imagine me having an Alienware or even something better!!! That would more than amazing, more than awesome.

I'm just so done with CPU's please, when I see a friend using his GPU for running only applications like microsoft word or football manager, it brings tears to my eyes, only if he knew. Anyway I'm writing this post so that when I get a new laptop I can remind myself of this state and all the things I'm itching to do with a laptop just in case I get carried away.

About my old laptop, its hard to tell what's wrong because I don't have the tools to take it apart and I can't take it to a repairer till lockdown is over, thanks for asking.
