La película comienza extremadamente lenta, desarrollando la trama con mucha calma, pero siendo muy eficaz al final. La historia me parecia muy aburrida, pero con el pasar de los minutos, se iba volviendo más interesante, tomando un buen ritmo casi al acabar que no me dejo separarme de la pantalla.

The film starts off extremely slow, developing the plot very calmly, but being very effective at the end. The story seemed very boring to me, but as the minutes passed, it became more interesting, taking a good pace almost at the end that did not let me separate from the screen.

Esta cinta nos recuerda tiempos mucho más simples, pero al mismo tiempo mucho más salvajes y crueles, mostrándonos como hemos cambiado como sociedad. También se observa un tema muy delicado que es el maltrato animal, donde no solo vemos cómo los cazan (que a veces debe ser necesario para mantener el equilibrio de la naturaleza), sino también como matan animales por "invadir territorio de los humanos". Por cierto, a un personaje lo multaron por no manejar bien su basura y llamar animales, lo que me gustó mucho.

There is also a very delicate subject that is animal abuse, where we not only see how they hunt them (which sometimes must be necessary to maintain the balance of nature), but also how they kill animals for "invading human territory." Empezamos con una familia que se dedica a la caza para la obtención de pieles y así lograr su sustento, Mersault (Devon Sawa), el padre, es quien coloca las trampas y está al frente de la casería, Renee (Summer Howell), su hija, siempre lo acompaña y aprende los principios de la caza, mientras Anne (Camille Sullivan), la madre y esposa, es quien se encarga de realizar las ventas de las pieles y de cuidar de la familia.

Anne salva a un hombre, víctima del lobo, cuando sale en busca de su esposo después de días sin saber de él, pero necesita armarse de valor para el último acto, pues encontra ciertas cosas con las que se da cuenta que está pasando en realidad.

Los paisajes son increíbles y la música le da un buen toque, aumentando la ansiedad en algunos momentos que lo necesita. Los personajes femeninos les faltó fuerza al principio del filme, pero al final lograron redimirse, principalmente Anne. Por último, se toca muy brevemente el tema del maltrato animal, viendo como se puede jalar un gatillo sin la menor de las dudas.

The landscapes are incredible and the music gives it a nice touch, increasing the anxiety in some moments that you need it. The female characters lacked strength at the beginning of the film, but in the end they managed to redeem themselves, mainly Anne. Finally, the subject of animal abuse is touched very briefly, seeing how a trigger can be pulled without the slightest of doubts.

Para concluir, es una buena película, que va mejorando a medida que van pasando los minutos, con un final super loco que me fascinó por lo demente que fue, pero sinceramente no creo que sea para todos los gustos, pero los invito a darle una oportunidad, quizá les guste mucho.
