Good afternoon community! It's Miguel again! This time I come to share the recipe of what was my lunch, an exquisite Japanese-style breaded pork chop known as "TONKATSU".
The Tonkatsu is a very cool dish since it is fast and delicious apart it offers a crunchy and wonderful texture since it is breaded with Japanese breadcrumbs or PANKO, which offers a fairly light frying.
To start we will need few ingredients, which are:
- Chuleta de cerdo sin hueso (1 por persona).
- Panko o pan rallado japonés.
- Harina de trigo todo uso.
- 1 huevo.
- Salsa Tonkatsu o BBQ.
- Sal y pimienta.
- Boneless pork chop (1 per person).
- Panko or Japanese breadcrumbs.
- All-purpose wheat flour.
- 1 egg.
- Tonkatsu or BBQ sauce.
- Salt and pepper
Pasos:
1)The first thing we will do is prepare our chops, for that we remove the bone and make a cut between the meat and the fat, so that they do not deform when frying due to the different elasticity between the two parts.
2)We proceed to soften our chops by hitting them with a mallet or roller covered with plastic wrap so as not to destroy the meat, add salt and pepper.
3)Sprinkle with wheat flour on both sides, go through the beaten egg and finally bread with the PANKO.
Note: The panko is simply bread crushed and toasted at low temperatures, you can make it at home like the one I use this time!
4)Freímos nuestras chuletas a fuego medio-alto por unos 5-6 minutos por lados.
4)Fry our chops over medium-high heat for about 5-6 minutes per side.
5)When they are golden brown, remove the chops from the oil and drain on absorbent paper.
6)Cortamos nuestras chuletas en tiras. Escuchen lo crujiente!
6)We cut our chops into strips. Listen to the crisp!
7)To finish, place and add the chops over the chops, which can be commercial tonkatsu sauce or BBQ sauce.
And we already have our delicious tonkatsu ready to eat, I accompany it with white rice and potato salad that I keep from the previous preparation.
