Knowing Lugo (Spain)/ Conociendo Lugo. [1]

In Lugo there are many flasks that cheer the city, like this one with water fountains. On days like today that are quite hot, 32º, the water refreshes just by looking at it. The average temperature in this month has oscillated between 12º and 15º, therefore the heat is felt much more when it exceeds that temperature.

En Lugo se encuentran muchas redomas que alegran la ciudad, como ésta con fuentes de agua. En días como hoy de bastante calor, 32º, el agua refresca sólo con verla. La temperatura media en este mes ha oscilado entre 12º y 15º, por lo tanto se siente mucho más el calor cuando sobrepasa esa temperatura.

And this is a square that pleasantly surprised me, as a Venezuelan that I am, because it is the Plaza de Simón Bolívar and it exhibits a bust of the Liberator.

It is a simple place, but it moved me, because I grew up in the city of Guatire, where there is no Plaza Bolívar and finding this one, here, seemed incredible.

Y ésta es una plaza que me sorprendió gratamente, como venezolano que soy, porque es la Plaza de Simón Bolívar y exhibe un busto del Libertador.
Es un lugar sencillo, pero me emocionó, porque yo crecí en la ciudad de Guatire, en donde no hay Plaza Bolívar y encontrar ésta, aquí, me pareció increíble.

It was built when Rafael Caldera (+) was President of Venezuela, according to the low relief text on the sculpture's pedestal.

Fue construida cuando era Presidente de Venezuela Rafael Caldera (+), según indica el texto en bajo relieve en el pedestal de la escultura.
