Después de varias semanas de encierro en mi apartamento por fin hoy pude salir a caminar un poco en mi parque preferido de la ciudad. Como algunos de uds ya saben en México estamos en la fase tres de contención del Covid-19 ¿Que quiere decir eso?

Bueno, en esta etapa o fase se espera el mayor números de contagios tanto a nivel local como nacional, por lo cual se incrementan las medidas de restricción e ingreso a los sitios públicos. Según las autoridades de Mexico ya hay alrededor de 6500 muertos en el país y la tasa sigue incrementando todos los días.

Pero entre todo lo malo hoy por fin pude escaparme y hacer una caminata por el parque, y les cuento un poco como encontré todo allá afuera.

After several weeks of confinement in my apartment, today I was finally able to go for a walk in my favorite park in the city. As some of you already know in Mexico we are in phase three of the Covid-19 containment. What does that mean?
Well, in this stage or phase we expect the highest number of infections both locally and nationally, so we are increasing the measures of restriction and entry to public places. According to Mexican authorities there are already around 6500 deaths in the country and the rate continues to increase every day.
But among all the bad things today I finally was able to get away and take a walk in the park, and I'll tell you a little bit about how I found everything out there.

El día esta bastante soleado lo que es común en esta parte del país, para muchos el confinamiento es más desesperante por el calor por eso muchos no obedecen el llamado de las autoridades a quedarse en casa.

Como pueden ver en las imágenes de arriba el parque infantil estaba cerrado por franjas amarillas que alertaban de la prohibición al su uso también los caminos del parque estaban bloqueados con las mismas franjas amarillas

The day is quite sunny which is common in this part of the country, for many the confinement is more desperate because of the heat so many do not obey the call of the authorities to stay at home.
As you can see in the pictures above the playground was closed by yellow stripes that warned of the ban on their use also the roads of the park were blocked with the same yellow stripes.

El parque estaba completamente solo, lo que era bueno para nosotros (mi esposo y yo) porque así podíamos caminar libremente, se supone que esto no deberíamos hacerlo pero no estamos preparados para vivir mucho tiempo encerrados, creo que nadie lo está.

Los animales también se sienten libres de disfrutar toda el area del parque, así como esta pequeña ardilla que se paseaba de árbol en árbol, ó el pájaro carpintero que hizo el agujero para su nido a un metro del suelo, lo que demuestra que ya se sienten seguros y libres de la amenaza humana.

The park was completely alone, which was good for us (my husband and I) because we could walk freely, this is not supposed to be done but we are not prepared to live a long time locked up, I think nobody is.
The animals also feel free to enjoy the whole area of the park, just like this little squirrel that walked from tree to tree, or the woodpecker that made the hole for its nest one meter above the ground, which shows that they already feel safe and free from the human threat.

Me disculpo que la imagen del pájaro carpintero no sea tan nítida pero es que mientras más me acercaba el más se escondía y no quise molestarlo, no quería ser una amenaza que le obligara abandonar su nido. Hasta las hormigas han hecho sus caminos por todos lados.

I apologize that the image of the woodpecker is not so clear but the closer I got to him the more he hid and I didn't want to disturb him, I didn't want to be a threat that would force him to leave his nest. Even the ants have made their way everywhere.

Después de una hora de caminata desafortunadamente la policía nos vió he hicieron sonar la sirena de la patrulla en advertencia que nos teníamos que ir y ahi terminó nuestro pequeño, pero muy merecido y divertido escape. Espero que tu tengas una gran aventura hoy. Feliz dia!

After an hour's walk, unfortunately, the police saw us and sounded the siren of the patrol car to warn us to leave, and that's the end of our little, but well-deserved, fun escape. I hope you have a great adventure today. Happy day!
