Daily Drawing Challenge: Day 17 - Village Scene

avatar

Hello everyone! Greetings to you all.

Taking my memory back to the village, I present to you my imaginative landscape drawing of a village scene. It is the theme for the challenge today. The following are features of the work:

  • A goat
  • A fowl
  • Local houses
  • A palm tree
  • Coconut trees
  • Other trees
  • A woman
  • A young boy and
  • A wood

The work depicts a village setting in the early morning hour when the sun is up. From the scene, only two people are noticeable - others have probably gone to do their respective works while a few others are yet to wake up.

On the right side of the buildings, depicts a woman carry water on her head as she walk her way back from river. A distance further depicts a boy carrying a pan on his head

The morning sun appears to be coming from the top right and hitting towards the left side. Down the right shows a goat position properly to take its breakfast. Behind the boy is a fowl walking towards the left side of the junction.

The local buildings are covered with raffia palms atop while the sky looks bright indicating a fabulous day ahead.

The work was done with a blue ballpoint pen on a cardboard paper. Below are my steps:

I first sketched out my concept

It's amazing how those seemingly meaningless opening lines turn into a beautiful drawing

Yeah, they might look meaningless at the initial time but they serve as guide to the creation of forms.
Thanks for stopping by.

I sincerely have. I was quite good at drawing as a little kid.

I remember I spent more time drawing comics, more like creating my own comic story with my drawings but it is really a long time ago o. Those were stuffs I really enjoyed.

Yeah, I did that as well during my high school period. After I left high school, I decided to improve my skills by working under a professional artist around my vicinity back then. It was really a great experience before I left him to college.

I think you can still harness those skills/talent now. Never too late bro.

Hmmmm @iamdanny. Your beautiful drawing actually brought back beautiful memories. I could vividly remember those times when I was little. Thank you for the beautiful memories brought back by your drawings, your explanations added to it, I could feel every words, like it was yesterday. This is indeed original, very real. You inspire me with this.
