Hello Hivers 💕💞,

Few hours ago I was in a very far villiage in Ilorin town as known as Jimba-Oja along Ajase Ipo road heading away from Ilorin a bit. It was a very long trip for me because I went there with my mother in law and when we embarked on the Journey, we were stopped several times and being checked if we were on facemask in which we were.

The preparation for this food or snacks was a very long one but I met them with little left. This woman was seen separating good soyabeans from the shaft and also from the bad ones. From the explanation I was giving i was told that after they separated those ones, it will undergo few minutes soaking, then it will be grinded, then seive and that it will also undergo boiling. Then they will use sack for extraction method for few minutes. Then the shaft will be separated again the ones inside the sack will be further processed and be made into a thicker paste and sliced into cubes and required shapes.

The woman here was the one in charge of frying the soyabeans paste. I saw her with the finals when we got there , so I was giving little as test and here is it.

The woman in pink owns the small business, so the other women are helping hands. She packaged up the Soyabeans cake into five pieces per Nylon which make it #50 nigerian currency. It is good because this type of food can also be used as Snacks by some people but in either ways it safe for Consumption either as normal food or snacks. It can be seen all over the states here in Nigeria. It is a universal food or snacks.

Those street sellers spend difficult life under the warm sunlight, rains, rush dusts etc.. They find only few profit in their own or others small business. I saw that's poor village they're living. However we appreciate them because they work hard and don't earn stolen or cunning profits.

@madushanma, you are truly right, the woman told me alot about this business she is into. She spend 1hour:50minutes every morning preparing this food / snacks and yet she makes #400 gain. Wow. I felt for her so well and I pity her too. Even her daughter was there trying to fix the grinder because it developed fault as well.

It is admirable how they put effort and dedication to their company, despite the difficulties, these nougats are very similar to the coconut marzipan. typical food from my land

Yes, here it is made from coconut, yeast flour, ground almonds and brown sugar. That name is given here, I suppose in several countries the names are different. I also follow it, I will go through the publication that quotes me. regards

Oh my God! This reminds me of a woman close to my hostel back at School. She sells this too. We call it Beske onigun merin.

Please, where in Ilorin is this? I base at stadium road. My family still lives there, but hustle has catapulted me to Abuja.

I feel like tasting that bud. Honestly.
