El día número 2 de este challenge trata de escribir 20 cosas acerca de uno mismo. No es que me guste compartir abiertamente mi vida aquí en mi Blog, pero muy probablemente existirán personas que lean estas 20 cosas y se sientan identificadas con algunas de ellas...y creo que ahí está lo divertido.
Estas 20 cosas acerca de mí no siguen un orden en particular. A medida que se me ocurrían, las iba escribiendo.
Day number 2 of this challenge is about writing 20 things about yourself. It's not that I like to share my life openly here in my Blog, but most probably there will be people who read these 20 things and feel identified with some of them...and I think that's the fun part.
These 20 things about me don't follow any particular order. As I came up with them, I wrote them down.

1. Mi nombre es María Emperatriz y la gran idea de este nombre se lo debo a mi bisabuela. De niña no me gustaba, pero ahora me encanta...me hace sentir empoderada.
2. Soy la chica de la columna de titanio porque a los 11 años me operaron de la columna vertebral, tenía escoliosis y para corregir esa deformidad era necesario emplear una prótesis de titanio de dos barras y muchos tornillos.
3. Detesto el aguacate, realmente no tolero su sabor porque me causa un poco de náuseas...y la verdad es que no sé por qué.
4. Amo las películas de terror a pesar de que luego pase días sin poder dormir bien gracias al susto...soy un poco masoquista.
5. Me encantan los postres, mis favoritos son el pay de limón y todos aquellos que contengan chocolate.

6. Me desagradan mucho todas aquellas personas que maltratan a los animales y que arrojan basura a la calle.
7. Nunca he tenido una mascota. Siempre he deseado adoptar a un perrito, pero toda la vida he vivido con mis abuelos y a ellos no les gusta la idea de tener a un peludito en casa.
8. De adolescente uno de mis amores platónicos fue Bruno Mars.
9. Una de mis películas animadas favoritas de Disney es Peter Pan.
10. Amo tomar café.

7. I have never had a pet. I've always wanted to adopt a puppy, but all my life I've lived with my grandparents and they don't like the idea of having a furry dog in the house.
8. As a teenager one of my platonic loves was Bruno Mars.
9. One of my favorite Disney animated films is Peter Pan.
10. I love to drink coffee.
11. Siempre me ha gustado estudiar y aprender cosas nuevas. La verdad es que cuando estaba en el colegio a mis padres nunca se les dificultó que yo hiciera mis tareas, pues yo misma era la que siempre tenía la iniciativa de hacerlas.
12. Cuando duermo tengo que tener los pies arropados a juro. Si está haciendo mucho calor, retiro la sábanas pero nunca sin dejar de cubrir mis pies.
13. Lo primero que hago por las mañanas a penas me despierto es tomar un vaso de agua.
14. Le tengo miedo a la oscuridad.
15. Entre mis pasatiempos favoritos destacan: leer y resolver sudokus.

12. When I sleep I have to keep my feet tucked in. If it is very hot, I remove the sheets but never without covering my feet.
13. The first thing I do in the morning as soon as I wake up is to drink a glass of water.
14. I am afraid of the dark.
15. Among my favorite hobbies are reading and solving Sudoku.
16. No me gusta mucho la playa. Me desagrada bastante esa sensación que siente tu cuerpo al mezclarse el sudor, el bloqueador solar, la arena y el agua de mar.
17. Amo comer frutas, mis favoritas son: la banana, el mango, la piña y las fresas...así en ese orden de prioridad.
18. Me da pánico tener que matar una cucaracha. Cada vez que veo una cucaracha salgo corriendo aterrorizada en busca de ayuda.
19. Soy bastante baja de estatura, mido 1.51 y en muchas ocasiones para entrar a algunos locales me piden que enseñe mi cédula de identidad para corroborar que soy mayor de edad.
20. Durante mi niñez mi madre me inscribió en una academia de baile, practiqué durante casi 9 años danza árabe y flamenco. Aun así, ya de adulta, soy una pésima bailarina...el año pasado comencé clases de Salsa, pero sólo resistí dos meses.
16. I don't like the beach very much. I don't like that feeling your body gets when sweat, sunscreen, sand and seawater mix.
17. I love to eat fruit, my favorites are: banana, mango, pineapple and strawberries...in that order of priority.
18. I'm afraid of having to kill a cockroach. Every time I see a cockroach I run away terrified for help.
19. I'm quite short, I'm 1.51 and on many occasions I'm asked to show my ID card to enter some places to confirm that I'm of legal age.
20. During my childhood my mother enrolled me in a dance academy, I practiced for almost 9 years Arabic dance and flamenco. Even so, as an adult, I am a terrible dancer...last year I started Salsa classes, but I only lasted two months.

hahahahaha me gusta tu nombre, es diferente... o al menos no lo había escuchado antes.
Jajajajaja una vez una profesora a forma de chiste me dijo: ¿no te gusta el aguacate? Ok, ese es motivo suficiente para no aprobar la materia" 😂😂😂 Lo cierto es que tiene un sabor extraño que no me agrada, pero si lo combino con otros ingredientes capaz sí lo tolere un poco más.
Eso es lo que me agrada de mi nombre...el María es bastante común, pero el Emperatriz no...y la combinación de ambos nombres suena bonita.

Sí, el guacamole sí me gusta jaja...el resto de los ingredientes ocultan un poco el sabor del aguacate y ahí si lo tolero un poco más.

Like seriously, you are afraid of the dark. I hate being in the dark as well but don't have phobia for it.
I don't know how to play sudoku. I never understood it but I play other games like chess but not often.
Just like you are, my parents never had issues with me. I do my assignment at school myself before I get home. When I get home, I try to do other things.
I think you should be called super girl because you have the hardest metal (Titanium) in your spine. 😅
