A Walk In The Woods + Gardening
I set out for a brisk walk in the woods to get some cardio today.
Across the road
and up the hill following the path
This forest has no economic use. You can tell from the existence of the fallen trees.
This is what the forest floor looks like.
Somebody had made a fire behind the large rock.
Not cool!
I could hear a river down there.
Chantarelles. It's one of the most popular edible mushrooms in temperate climates around the world, I guess.
It's going to all go downhill from here. I had to be careful not to fall.
That last thing I did was dig up this nasty root ball of a rose bush that was growing too close to the house.
Getting out was hard work because you have to find and sever all the roots with the shovel. Luckily, the roots only grow sideways and not down.
What a nice and beautiful ride! I love places like this one.
