Cuarentena radical / Radical quarantine

Cuarentena radical estamos viviendo durante la presente semana. Se están presentando bastantes casos por contacto comunitario, se cree que pueden ser por connacionales que están regresando al país sin pasar por lo puntos de control y, al no guardar la cuarentena respectiva y mucho menos hacerse la prueba rápida, que en nuestro país es gratuita, se exponen ellos y especial a sus familiares y amigos, además a la población en general. Esta situación nos obliga a cuidarnos mucho más y evitar los sitios con aglomeraciones de personas, como el mercado, y no podemos utilizar el transporte público. Se estima que más de 30.000 personas han entrado por caminos ilegales y entre ellos podría haber alrededor de 3.000 contagiados.

Radical quarantine we are living through this week. There are many cases of community contact, it is believed that they may be by nationals who are returning to the country without passing through the checkpoints and, by not keeping the respective quarantine and much less take the rapid test, which in our country is free, they are exposed and especially to their families and friends, in addition to the general population. This situation forces us to take much more care of ourselves and avoid places with crowds of people, such as the market, and we cannot use public transport. It is estimated that more than 30,000 people have entered through illegal roads and among them there could be around 3,000 infected people.

Las compras necesarias las realizo en lugares pocos concurridos y, en nuestro hogar, únicamente yo estoy saliendo a hacerlas. Estuvimos varios meses sin tener casos positivos en nuestro pueblo, pero lamentablemente ya existen dos casos confirmados por las fuentes oficiales y otros bajo sospecha, esperando los resultados para poder ser diagnosticados. Aunque son pocos, es un alerta por ser casos comunitarios, de los que no se conoce el foco de contagio.

The necessary purchases are made in places that are not very crowded and, in our home, only I am going out to do them. We had several months without having positive cases in our town, but unfortunately there are already two cases confirmed by official sources and others under suspicion, waiting for the results to be diagnosed. Although they are few, it is an alert because they are community cases, of which the focus of contagion is not known.

Es sorprendente ver personas expuestas, sin tapabocas, como si todo estuviese normal. Esta semana ha sido más difícil porque se ha agudizado el problema de la gasolina, hay personas que pasan varios días en las estaciones de servicio sin poder surtir. El carro no lo he movido porque ya tiene menos de un cuarto de tanque y ni las bombas que venden a precio internacional están abasteciendo combustible. Algunos dicen que no hay gasolina, otros, que el problema es el transporte de la misma, pero el caso es que las estaciones están cerradas.

It's amazing to see people exposed, with no mask, as if everything were normal. This week has been more difficult because the problem of gasoline has become more acute, there are people who spend several days in the service stations without being able to refuel. I have not moved the car because it has less than a quarter of a tank and not even the pumps that sell at international prices are supplying fuel. Some say that there is no gasoline, others that the problem is the transportation of it, but the fact is that the stations are closed.

Debido a toda esta situación, estoy realizando las compras en lugares cercanos a nuestro hogar, aunque sea un poco más costoso relativamente, porque debemos incluir ahora el ahorro en gasolina, al no utilizar el vehículo. Gracias a Dios cerca de nuestro hogar, sin caminar largas distancias, hay desde panaderías, charcuterías, abastos, carnicerías, ventas de verduras, en fin lo necesario para tener lo esencial en casa.

Because of this whole situation, I am shopping in places close to our home, even if it is a little more expensive relatively, because we must now include the savings in gasoline, by not using the vehicle. Thank God near our home, without walking long distances, there are from bakeries, delicatessens, grocery stores, butchers, vegetable sales, in short what is necessary to have the essentials at home.

En nuestro hogar seguimos con los juegos tradicionales (cartas, dama…) y bateando tapas de gaseosas con nuestro hijo, además de buscar la inspiración para publicar y mantener activo nuestro blog. A veces, por las preocupaciones diarias, se me hace difícil concentrarme, mi mente se vuelve un desastre, hasta el humor me cambia. Pero no puedo dejar que eso me afecte por mucho tiempo, así que después de varios días con ese estado de ánimo, hoy me desperté temprano diciéndome que debo hacer algo y me levanté con el firme propósito de escribir y romper ese letargo que tanto nos puede afligir.

In our home we continue with the traditional games (cards, lady...) and hitting soda lids with our son, as well as looking for the inspiration to publish and keep our blog active. Sometimes, because of the daily worries, it is difficult for me to concentrate, my mind becomes a mess, even my mood changes. But I can't let that affect me for long, so after several days in that state of mind, I woke up early today telling myself that I must do something and I got up with the firm purpose of writing and breaking that lethargy that can afflict us so much.

Como dicen algunos, es cuestión de ocuparse y no preocuparse, la vida siempre está andando, el tiempo no se detiene.

As some say, it's a matter of caring and not worrying, life is always going on, time doesn't stop.
