Yesterday was a holiday for me so I had the opportunity to visit the area where the wife lives. There was a sad scene. These trees have spread destructively on both sides of the road. Plam oil tree cultivation is a rapidly spreading catastrophe that is destroying rain forests all over the world. Elaeis guineensis is a scientific name. This plant is used as a plantation crop because it is cultivated to obtain palm oil.

You can see that's like forest. But whole area covered by palm oil trees. As I have heard, palm oil biscuits and other confectionery, soaps and detergents are currently used to make margarine. It is also known as a plantation crop.

Palm oil tree is one species of palm trees. It's very similar look to coconut tree.
