I keep commenting on the news of all official distributions derived from Ubuntu. The so-called official flavors published at the end of October.

I opportunely referred to Ubuntu 20.10 "Groovy Gorilla" and the changes published with the new version, highlighting the fact that it came with the largest kernel in history:

I'm only missing Ubuntu Budgie, Kylin (the Chinese version of Ubuntu), and Lubuntu.

As it expressly says on your HomePage Lubuntu is a fast and light operating system with a clean and easy to use user interface. It is a Linux system, using a minimal LXDE / LXQT desktop and a selection of lightweight applications. For this reason, Lubuntu has very low hardware requirements.

Me faltan solo Ubuntu Budgie, Kylin (la versión china de Ubuntu) y Lubuntu.

Precisamente de esta última me voy a ocupar en este post.

Como lo dice expresamente en su HomePage Lubuntu es un sistema operativo rápido y ligero con una interfaz de usuario limpia y fácil de usar. Es un sistema Linux, que utiliza un escritorio LXDE / LXQT mínimo y una selección de aplicaciones ligeras. Por esta razón, Lubuntu tiene requisitos de hardware muy bajos.

Main changes in Lubuntu 20.10 "Groovy Gorilla".

• The new version of LXQt 0.15.0 comes with many improvements over the version present in Lubuntu 20.04.

• Mozilla Firefox 81.0.2 will receive updates from the Ubuntu security team during the release support cycle.

• The LibreOffice 7.0.2 suite, with the correction of numerous bugs that were present in Lubuntu 20.04

• Video Lan Center (VLC) the popular, free and open source multimedia player and framework developed by the VideoLAN project is updated to version 3.0.11.1, ideal for watching media and listening to music.

• Featherpad 0.12.1, for notes and code editing.

• Trojitá updated to version 0.7 the powerful and fast email client for Lubuntu.

Principales cambios en Xubuntu 20.10 "Groovy Gorilla".

• La nueva versión de LXQt 0.15.0 se presenta con muchas mejoras con respecto a la versión presente en Lubuntu 20.04.

• Mozilla Firefox 81.0.2 recibirá actualizaciones del equipo de seguridad de Ubuntu durante el ciclo de soporte de la versión.

• La suite LibreOffice 7.0.2, con la correción de numerosos bugs que eran presentes en Lubuntu 20.04

• Video Lan Center (VLC) elpopular reproductor y framework multimedia, libre y de código abierto desarrollado por el proyecto VideoLAN se actualiza a la versión 3.0.11.1, ideal para ver medios y escuchar música.
