Pied Myna - Birding / Wildlife

The pied myna or Asian pied starling is a species of starling and is found in the subcontinent. The pied myna is a passerine bird and regularly visits Pakistan. They migrate from India to Pakistan and after a stay of few months, they fly for another destination. They mostly live in groups and are also found in the company of common myna. This bird is very beautiful and has a very unique color contrast.

These birds are very shy and usually avoid human presence. They are also found in urban areas. I used to see this bird in my office garden regularly. They are found near dumping areas searching for food in the garbage. They are living in small flocks and are mostly found forging on the ground. These birds are very photogenic and on-camera their unique presence looks great. I always love to photograph these birds.
