Duck Hunting in Indus River
I heard a lot about duck hunting in Indus River so I planned to visit and see how does this happen? I came to know that my friend's cousin was doing duck hunting and they invited me to come and join them. But bad news was that it was in D.I.Khan so I had to travel from Islamabad that was 6,7 Hours drive. I started my journey from Islamabad around 2PM and I reached D.I.Khan at night. After meeting my host we again started driving and after 2 hours drive we reached at Indus River.
After reaching at Indus River our boat journey started. After two hours boat ride we reached on an Island where we had our base camp. In moon light I saw the tent where we had to spend night. This was very amazing place Moon light, Cool breeze and Indus river what else can you imagine? In moon light I walked around and enjoyed the nature.
Next early morning duck hunting started. Hunters further travelled on boat to reach their hunting spot. Mainly this is a migratory rout of birds and they setup some camouflage spot for hunting. They used all kind of stuff to attract ducks like duck voices on speaker and different stuffed ducks.
Over all a good day for Duck Hunting but as I am not in favor of this so I only photographed the birds living around Indus River.
Some friends also did fishing in Indus River. They succeeded to catch some big fish. Indus River has variety of fish and wildlife.
After spending whole day at Indus River I headed back to Islamabad. Over all a great experience and if some check and balance is maintained on Hunting then it is a good activity.

Whenever I hear of the place it automatically reminds me of the civilization. Great place with a lot of history in it. But I don't support the hunt. It's of no good. How can anyone take ones life just for fun. They can raise ducks in house to get meat. Hope you convey a good massage of it. Thanks
