ORIGEN DEL “HALLOWEEN”

Hoy quiero hablarles de otro interesante tema, que habla acerca del origen de una fiesta tenebrosa llamada “Halloween. Su término, proviene de “All Hallows Eve”,que significa: “Víspera de Todos los Santos", “Samhain o Noche de Brujas.” Su origen se remonta a las festividades de los pueblos Celtas de Samhain, que marcaban el final de verano, la recogida de la cosecha y el comienzo del año. Los Celtas creían, que había una línea que separaban, el mundo de los vivos y el de los muertos, creándose entre ambos una estrecha relación terrenal. La celebración de esta fiesta, se realizaba el 31 de octubre, tenían la creencia de que los espíritus de los muertos, volvían a visitar el mundo de los mortales. La fiesta era nocturna, abundaban la comida y los dulces, fuera de las casas, adornaban con velas encendidas, las ventanas, para ahuyentar las almas malignas de los muertos y lograr encontrar el camino de los buenos espíritus.

Esta fiesta, se expandió a los Estados Unidos y Canadá en los años 1840, acentuando su celebración para el año 1921, fecha donde se celebró el “Primer encuentro festivo de Halloween en Minnesota. Esta celebración pagana, alcanzó gran interés hasta 1978, con el estreno del film de Terror del Productor John Carpenter, llamado “Halloween". Esta festividad se celebra cada 31 de octubre, especialmente en Estados Unidos, Canadá, Irlanda y Reino Unido. Según la leyenda irlandesa, relata la historia de un personaje malvado, llamado Jack O’ Lantern, era un irlandés bebedor y de mal comportamiento, que siempre formaba las riñas. Según cuentan, que Jack, le vendió su alma al diablo, pero su astucia, le permitió huir de él y no se dejó atrapar. Los niños, van por las calles en la noche de “Halloween", disfrazados, pidiendo de casa en casa golosinas y lanzando la famosa frase de “Truco o “Trato", si los habitantes de la casa les dan las golosinas, quiere decir que aceptaron el trato, pero si el habitante se niega, optaron por el “Truco” y comienzan a hacerles, cualquier tipo de broma, arrojándoles cosas a las puertas.

CARACTERÍSTICAS DEL CINE DE “TERROR”

1)Es un género cinematográfico: basado en lo oculto y misterioso, que produce sensaciones de miedo o temor determinado por un personaje. Este género estuvo influenciado por la literatura “Gótica", de autores como Bram Stoken y Mary Shelley. Este género es hacer pasar miedo al espectador. Las primeras películas lograron un éxito entre el público.

1. Personajes Inquietantes: plagados de fantasmas, extraterrestres, vampiros, zombies, entre algunos, crudamente espeluznantes.

2. Decorados Y Localizaciones: Escenarios usados durante la noche en cementerios, castillos tenebrosos, bosques, jardines, lagos, casas abandonadas etc.

3. Banda Sonora: Usa los efectos de sonidos para lograr una atmosfera aterradora.

4. Temáticas Generales: El motor temático de estas películas es la crueldad humana, bestial o sobrenatural, también se involucra las brujas, la magia negra, monstruos, la perdida de la identidad y la locura.

5. El Erotismo: Ocurren escenas de índole sexual y es cuando el asesino ataca.

6. Técnica Cinematográfica: Esto ocurre fuera de campo, es decir, que una escena terrorífica ocurre fuera del objetivo de la cámara, centrado en el protagonista, para crear en el espectador, tensión y miedo.
   

PELÍCULAS EXITOSAS DE TERROR:

Estas películas me mantuvieron en atención, la emoción de suspenso y miedo, entre algunas que me causaron terror: Psicosis de Alfred Hitchcock, (1960), El Exorcista (1973), Halloween (1978), The Shining (1980), Pesadilla en Elm Street. (1984), Poltergeist (1982).
