Boulder Sunday: cat on a boulder followed by rocks and trees in my garden, แมว ก้อนหินและต้นไม้ในสวน

The tropical storm Sinluku has arrived in the north of Thailand and some provinces in north-east of the country. So, I arrived in Nongkhai with a sense of trepidation and suspense as I wait for the heavy rain. Luckily, those heavy black clouds were blown away in other directions. We had only half an hour heavy rain this morning. However, the level of the river had risen by three meters in one day, indicating the opening of dams in Laos in anticipation of heavy rain.

The other day I found the photo of my first orange cat sitting on a boulder. She had just recovered from the vet’s operation that’s why she was wearing the collar. In one week we had to take collars off the cats as we found out that this cat was stuck in a bush because of her collar. She was taking two of her young daughters for some nearby adventure. These three cats went missing for two days; they came back after the mother cat exerted more force to break free from the busy. My gardener found her collar stuck at the branch at the far end of the garden. No wonder, the three cats looked very thin and famished. The two daughters refused to run back home to have their meal; they just sat there through out the night looking after their mother cat. That’s why I love and respect these cats a lot. No more collars for my cats! They have to live as freely as they could. They were several heroic stories about these loving orange cats.

Whenever I have problems concerning my disappearing cats, I would pray to the Land-Spirit asking for their help. Most people would buy ready made spirit houses, but I knew straightaway that our Land-Spirit did not need the spirit house, they preferred the cluster of trees at the back of the garden. I just had a brick alter built by those trees so that we could place our offerings there.

During the construction of the waterfront road several years ago, I used to take a walk on the bank of the river. To my surprise, there were so many rocks of all sizes mixed in the sand along the river front. These were rocks that had been in the river a long time ago. So, I picked a few rocks, after asking the river-guardian’s permission, as offerings to Land-spirit. I placed these rocks on the brick table by the trees.

There used to be many more rocks but some disappeared without trace. So I wonder whether some angelic beings or guardians took some as paper weight as the wind around here could be very strong. The strange brown rocks with spikes were found naturally occurring on the lands. I had some blobs looking like dinosaur’s droppings which had become fossils. Any way, I hope that these rocks will add to the energy field; these rocks brought the energy of the river and mountains to this area. The trees cluster has been growing very fast which makes this garden looking like a forest. The energy here is very strong and healing; I would come here to get grounded abs recharge my energy by standing on the meditation platform nearby.

วันก่อนเราพบรูปสมัยที่แมวส้มยังอยู่ที่บ้านเรา ตอนนี้มันย้ายไปอยู่บ้านกลางซอย เพราะมันชอบอยู่เป็นแมวสันโดดตัวเดียวในบ้าน มันจำลูกหลานของมันไม่ได้เพราะ ลูกแมวไปอยู่กับหมอนานเกินไป กลิ่นก็เลยเปลี่ยน เจ้าแมวตัวนี้เป็นแมวที่ฉลาดมาก ตอนมันกลับมาจากผ่าตัดใหม่ๆ เราต้องใส่ปลอกคอเพื่อใส่ที่ครอบหัวไว้ เราก็เลยใส่ปลอกคอมันต่อ แค่มารู้เข้าทีหลังว่า แมวไปติดกิ่งไม้หรือลวดเพราะปลอกคอถึงสองวัน ตอนนั้นแมวส้มกับลํกสองตัวกายจกาบ้านไปสองวัน เราเป็นห่วงมาก วันที่สามพวกมันกลับบ้านด้วยความหิวโหย ปลอกคอแมวหายไป เราก็เลยคิดว่ามันต้องไปติดลวดตามรั้วบ้านที่ไหนแน่นอน อีกหลายสัปดาห์ต่อมา คนสวนไปเจอปลอกคอแมวที่รั้วปลายสวน เราก็ถอดปลอกคอแมวออกหมด เพราะมันอันตรายมากสำหรับแมวที่อยู่กับธรรมชาติ เราประทับใจมากที่ลูกแมวสองตัวนั่งเฝ้าแม่แมวอยู่สองวัน ไม่ยอมกบับมาบ้านมากินข้าวกินนํ้าเลย เราคิดว่าแมวของเรานี่ดีกว่าคนมากมายทีเดียว มีความภักดีและรักครอบครัวมากกว่าคน เราก็เริ่มเรียนรู้จักแมวมากขึ้น เราอยากเห็นแมวสัมกลับมาเยี่ยมบ้าน มานั่งอยู่บนก้อนหินอีกสักครั้ง

ตอนที่ช่างมาก่อสร้างถนนเลียบริมแม่นํ้าโขง เราออกไปเดินเล่นบ่อยมาก เราพบว่าเวลาเขาตักทรายขึ้นมาจากแม่น้ำ จะมีหินขนาดเล็กใหญ่หลายรูปแบบอยู่ปนกับทรายมากมาย หินส่วนใหญ่มีผิวเรียบแสดงว่าพวกนี้อยู่ใต้น้ำมานานเป็นหลายร้อยปี เราจึงรู้สึกได้ว่าหินพวกนี้มีพลังงานที่ดีมาก เราจึงขออนุญาติเก็บหินมาไว้ที่โต๊ะตรงต้นไม้หลังบ้าน ตรงนั้นคือที่อยู่ของเจ้าที่ เราไม่ได้ซื้อศาลพระภูมิที่มีขายกันทั่วไป เพราะเรารู้ว่าเจ้าที่มีที่อยู่ตรงต้นไม้หลังบ้าน แต่ก่อนเป็นต้นไม้เล็กๆสองสามต้น แต่ตอนนี้มันโตขึ้นมากจนทำให้สวนกลายเป็นป่าไปแล้ว เราไม่รู้ว่าหินหลายสิบก้อนที่สวยๆหายไปไหนหมด ตอนนี้มีเหลือไม่ถึงสิบก้อน หรือว่าเทวดาหรือท่านเจ้าที่เอาหินไปดูเล่นแต่งบ้าน ทับกระดาษกันลมกัน เราก็หวังว่าท่านเจ้าที่ เทวดาและสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ทั้งหลายคงพอใจกับหินเหล่านี้ ที่นำพลังมาจากแม่นํ้าและภูเขามาทำให้บริเวณนี้มีพลังมากขึ้น
